So would a brook, more specifically Rice Brook, be a glen? It Flowed down Chestnut Street, Irving Park? Upper Landing? Fairly lengthy explaination in Street book.

It's a very good thing there is such a diverse bunch of people and talents among the crew.

Including an awesome webmaster for the coolercrew.com website.

From the PP Boards:

(quote author=shadowgdaddy)

The videos were created because the PP can't sell papers to blind and illiterate people.

Somewhat true, but problem is, how do the videos benefit someone who is Blind???

The sound? Of course being able to click on them could be a problem.

Many who are legally blind can see some shadows, shapes and can use monitors that magnify things.

I suppose you could listen to the narrator; and just listen to that wheezing blow up doll.

bore prodigiously - as related to fruit trees, and weather.

Check this out from 1874, it's the MN Horticulturist Annual Report.

Page 130 I have the Seneca Doolittle Davison's and Mammoth Cluster of the black caps Part of them were mulched in fall and stood the winter the best I am not yet certain which are the hardiest and most prolific The Seneca and Davison's Thornless certainly have done well I have two rows each of the Philadelphia Red and Purple cane The Philadelphia has stood two winters with ground almost bare of snow and no protection without killing at all and last season bore prodigiously.

Also intersting definition of bore -- I really like #4

bore1

vb

1. (Engineering / Mechanical Engineering) to produce (a hole) in (a material) by use of a drill, auger, or other cutting tool

2. (Engineering / Mechanical Engineering) to increase the diameter of (a hole), as by an internal turning operation on a lathe or similar machine

3. (tr) to produce (a hole in the ground, tunnel, mine shaft, etc.) by digging, drilling, cutting, etc

4. (Individual Sports, other than specified) (intr) Informal (of a horse or athlete in a race) to push other competitors, esp in order to try to get them out of the way

The CW is prodigiously pushing the competitiors out of the way, with his long history evoking clues?

Prodigious and Bore is also used in a reference in Making of America Project - 1861 - Technology & Engineering by Scientific American, and Minnesota was referenced. Sounds to me like way back when, those "big words" were used quite often.

LOL.. When ever we get a call at the house from someone trying to sell us a newspaper, my boyfriend tells them that he is blind, and the only copy in braile is available at the library, which he'd like to go read, but he's afraid of getting hit by a car crossing the freeway to get there.

They thank him for his time, and hang up - hahahaha.

How about - the videos were created for people like my bonus kids, who don't really like things with words, unless there are pictures involved, even better if the pictures move and talk.

to me prime location either screams como, as its been prime hunt location many many many times, or a reference to the big red one.

also, prime location is a real estate term. thinking occam's razor here as the simplest explanation for the phrase.

The first line seams like it has something hidden in it. Its almost if there are numbers in sight. 3M for BC, 4H for Como (Not sure how visable the building is). Maybe it could be a billboard for the lottery showing the jackpot totals. Some sort of numbers or mathmatical equation needs to be within sight. I don't think they will out the path this quick.

Along those lines, maybe a McDonald's would be in sight? That is the first thing that comes to mind when I hear "prime location". I know McDonald's puts tons of money into choosing their locations.

I am thinking that the prime might be the number of paces, feet, inches from the paths that cross.

Where to Find Ice for climbing

Nearly any cliff that drains an area above is a likely ice-climbing locale. This is especially true along rivers and lakes. Be sure to contact the landowner for permission before you climb.

Though most of the state is too flat for decent climbing, Minnesota does have world-class climbs-many of which remain unexplored. North Shore rivers carve stony canyons deep into igneous rock. Water seepage along the walls forms stalactites, pillars, and curtains of ice perfect for climbing.

The best place to learn ice climbing in the Twin Cities area is undoubtedly the old brickyards at Lilydale, a public park near downtown St. Paul. In winter instructors go there regularly to give students their first good taste of ice. The great variety of ice flows ranges from gently sloping ice pavements to overhanging ice stalactites called teeth.

Ice climbs generally form in the same place each year, and often acquire names, such as Psycho, Dare Devil, and Endurance, to indicate the nature of the climb. Others, such as Comic Book, Fiction, and Game Show, reflect a sense of humor. Still others, Bridal Veil, Crystal Curtain, Ice Palace, comment on their beauty.

Step off the Math - this would narrow it down significantly...

With the Water to Ice and 'Prime Location', wouldn't that lean more heavily to Highand, with it's pool and some seriously valuable real estate - if I remember correctly there is a 'crossroads' sign on the streets below the picnic area, which would narrow it down to one big-ass hillside if you take this theory all the way to the bank

Assuming most paths in parks aren't cleared, first you have to find the paths that cross.

You know a hospital will also work as a plus sign. Could be in sight, could be where a hospital once stood.
