We hope you find those of like mind And not da agony of da feet -This would suggest Like Minds of Vikings football quarterback/Gannon/crosby because it says NOT the agaony of DA feet (bears) Gabes packer bar/como no time for cold feet film location...
anyone notice they have the dates wrong on the videos? Todays says thursday January 26th. Its the 27th...Goofed me up this week. I noticed this last tuesday as well.
Good morning! I recently finished reading Kathryn Harrison's book, The Binding Chair, about the ancient Asian tradition of feet binding. Talk about da agony of da feet! It made me think of the Japanese Gardens at the Como Conservatory. I know the conservatory is off limits, but maybe just a general reference to Como Park?
Keep in mind, I just got up and haven't had coffee yet. :pbpt:
I had such a headache last night I went to bed and slept it out so I am just now reading the new clue and the board.
My first thought with this clue is bears at Como and the weddings and pictures that get taken at the conservatory there. Also the conservatory has a Valentine's Day dinner each year so that would definately be where lover's meet in the winter.
One thought I had is that there seems to be a lot of talk about 'da bears' recent defeat. That would mean that the clue was written very recently or that there were two written and one was scrapped, no?
If that theory is true (and the CW didn't architect the hunt last week), then you can run with the 'bears' noodle or the 'feet' noodle. Not both.
I think I started calling them the crazy boards back before the hunt even started when Jake and I were getting smashed. I love how that name has caught on
I hadn't called them the crazy boards until I read that Bachman/Tea Part rant this morning. Regardless of your religious/political preferences, that's a real piece of work.
Been thinking about "path" could be a paved/gravel, etc path, but could also be a "path" that water takes, ie. creek, stream, river???
Step off some distance from that water to ice (frozen creek/stream/river) path...
River at Crosby was frozen all the way across on Saturday last weekend, people were skiing across it to Pike Island. Swede had running water in the creek, but was frozen between the path to that creek.
I haven't read the whole post that you linked, but was reading some of the posts that followed and had to laugh at this righteous response by kabbie: "I am the last person to say something about another's spelling and/or grammar. Me and spell check spend a lot of time together. How ever, I could not get past the first few sentences before I quit reading. Please enable your browser's spell check".
I'm still at Hidden Falls after this clue. The first line references aging Brett. Brett was a veteran quarterback. The veterans home is across the river from Hidden Falls, where people who are aging go (or went, I don't know the current status). Brett also rhymes with vet. Como doesn't strike me as being where winter lovers meet, as the Zoo and Conservatory attract those who don't love winter. If you're going to Hidden Falls this time of year it's because you're a winter lover. Yes there is the use of "Da" in the clue, but I think that is to emphasize "feet" as in what we walk on, not "defeat" as in losing. If you're in agony on your feet it's because you have walked (or skiied or snowshoed) a long distance. Again it fits in with the having to go a lot of steps to get to the treasure site.
every year i always wonder why there aren't city bus clues but for some reason i really liked step off the math - a numbered city bus ( i know it's usually a highway, but i liked it anyway)
If I were to age Brett I'd age him at 41.
41 is a prime number. Dig #41 was in Cherokee Park. Looking at the map of past digs, there have been four at Cherokee Park
Digs # 1, 23, 41, 47 = all prime numbers, making Cherokee park a "prime location"
maybe the very first dig was at Cherokee and this is the 125th Anniversary...
kinda like green said..
just our .02
hittin the sack..
Ford Parkway off Cleveland.
He turned 41 last October.
The prime thing works if years are used.
There were two digs in 1953.
1952 -- Highland Park
1953 -- Cherokee Park 2 is prime
1974 -- Cherokee Park 23
1992 -- Cherokee Park 41
1998 -- Cherokee Park 47
Lilydale is the old brick yard kiln site.
Brett was on TV during is final exit (?) leaving in a tunnel.
The 'bore' reference?
And not da agony of da feet

But then again...maybe not.

Where nature lovers each other greet
The One-Eyed One-Horned Flying Purple People Eater
Well I saw the thing coming out of the sky
It had one long horn and one big eye
I commenced to shakin' and I said oo-wee
It looks like a purple people eater to me
It was a one-eyed one-horned flying purple people eater
Sure looks good to me
Well, he came down to earth and he lit in a tree
I said mr Purple People Eater don't eat me
I heard him say in a voice so gruff
I wouldn't eat you 'cos you're too tough
It was a one-eyed one-horned flying purple people eater
It sure looks strange to me
I said mr Purple People Eater what's your line
He said eating purple people and it sure is fine
But that's not the reason that I came to land
I wanna get a job in a rock 'n roll band
Well, bless my soul rock 'n roll flying' purple people eater
Pigeon-toed under-growed flyin' purple people eater
one-eyed one-horned it was a people eater
What a sight to see
Well, he swung from the tree and he lit on the ground
he started to rock really rockin' around
It was a crazy ditty with a swinging tune
Wop bop a lula wop bam boom
one-eyes one-horned flying people eater
Ooh, it sure looks strange to me
Well he went on his way and then what do you know
I saw him last night on a TV show
He was a blowin' it out and really knockin' them dead
Playing rock 'n roll music through the horn in his head
