Yup. I've been trying to do some work - but I keep popping back in here.
I want to try to get out of work early tomorrow. I just need to meet with someone in the morning and then get a couple loose ends tied up. If everything goes perfect, I could be done before dark.
Something poped to mind on todays clue. Old street names or old streets that no longer excist. Aging Brett = old.The old news on Brett was he got a chair as gift.
Don't know if this has been posted yet, men who sold liquor along the rivers were called river rats. Their whiskey's main ingredients were turpentine and sugar. My grandpa called it rot gut. Customers didn't even have to get out of their boats to buy it.
I like the Favre = Mississippi noodle. I also saw someone post on the crazy boards about a bunch of roads at Highland being closed = Dammed. As for original noodles, I got nothin'
I was noodling an idea for a horse polo grounds references associated with the parks - unfortunately there's not much outside of the Polo Grounds which were at Fort Snelling.
I came across this little gem of a story about ICE POLO as a sport often associated with the Winter Carnival...
Marley thinks... don't= dante (culpepper) who is also a retired (gave up) quarterback. Those of like mind are other ex-qbacks/football players - which are all around Crosby/Hidden
tc's got a couple of great-uncles who spent some time at leavenworth federal university for manufacturing back in the day  and toppy o'toole was said to make the best hooch in st. paul. he even packed heat.
I am resolved to read the new clue and head for the sheets. I'll wait for the video for tomorrow. Those creep me out and I want to have nice dreams tonight of finding that medallion - or at least being in the right park when its found.
I'm waiting too. Not sure about the videos either. I understand about the creeping out part -- but it's like driving past a car wreck, ya gotta slow down to see.
HOPE this next one points me in a more solid direction.
:sheepish:

Off the math: Plato
To pay for this prime location: the now defunct Taste of MN after charging admission.

Not super-relevant to the clues, but still an interesting read.
HOPE this next one points me in a more solid direction.

Walk amongst the lonesome pine.
Don't forget the clues that fit
Or you'll flub away what's mine.
