White BEAR ave dead ends running south from Upper Afton. Streets running into WB from the East are GRACE, and A,B, and C (wide world of sports) streets.
that's what Leela was saying, too. Has this happened in other clues in other hunts, that the two correct anagrams were far apart...I don't recall that myself.
Real quick before I get to bed, the last time an anagram had intervening words was chair o kee with cape and whip but those were on the same line. This would be a new twist.
I'm gonna have to quit going out with the crew preclue and then to the paper. Everything is getting figured out here before the clue comes out and then immediatly after the clue comes out. Of course I dont have internet so so I'm not privy to the information. Evidently a lot of people with the internet info aren't sharing with the people they are hanging with. Seems I'm at a disadvantage trying to be social. Better off to stay home and figure out the clue then go out. Pretty sad really. We used to have the advantage to go down to the paper. Now its only good if you have a laptop to read the board too.
Interesting. I don't ever recall an anagram that is taking single words from two different lines. Makes one wonder if there are other words in the clue that should also be anagramed with those two words. UGH!
Just watched the Clue 7 video. These videos creep me out.
I am not liking this anagram spanning two different lines. The first word in the clue says leave, but that is separated from the other two words as well.
That opens up a whole new can of worms. Pick random words out of whatever lines of a clue and then anagram them? The possibilities are endless.
Eagles (and other raptors) fly in kettles - which are thermal (warmer) air currents that allow them to soar higher pretty effortlessly. There are sometimes large numbers of raptors flying in one kettle. Vultures sometimes fly in kettles, too - sometimes a few vultures may be in a kettle with other birds.
This most recent clue had me scratchin' my head as it just didn't say anything. I was glad to read of the BC anagram.
As far as the distance between words, everything is new the first time and the Clue Writer's boss. Had the park name ever been spelled out by the first letters of each line until it happened? Too, I think a new twist would be needed as I think the CW knows Hunters are good at solving and looking for anagrams. Distancing the important words just takes more time and is, in my belief, the CW's way of trying something a bit different to stymie us.
Burns wrote a poem about the river Afton. Dog walk is south of Afton, Maplewood side.
I refuse to believe big park.
This is meant for PHG
"More violence and another nod to the rat"
Note to self...never stay up late un caffeinated again.
The clue video made me google things like rat meat and dead rat. I'm obviously desperate and way too tired for any more tonight.
I'll get a fresh start in the morning...
Night all!
Feelin the bed call myself.

almost like missing more words

(Math Joe! 2142. 21 doubled = 42)
