Would anyone be willing to share where they were scoping/digging yesterday, and whether they have now abandoned that park/idea?
I was at Como - mostly scoping, digging a little. I saw two people here, three people there, and a group chatting near Beulah/Como. People were pretty convinced they were in the right area, some with a gut feeling, some were tying in things from the videos in pretty convincing ways. If I gave any credence to the videos, I think I'd be at Hamm Falls, although that whole area has had a pretty good once-over by now.
As I did one last drive-through once it got really dark, there were maybe two headlamps up on the hilltop between Lexington and Hamm Falls, and maybe three people digging on the step-like structures on the Beulah end of McMurray Fields.
I've never hunted Battle Creek and don't know the park at all, other than a drive-through during a few hunts. I think I've been up on the overlook. Is there any reason to be interested in the overlook? Or not to be interested in it? (I recall someone mentioning the overlook in the past few days.)
Anyone feeling the love yet? People seem pretty tight-lipped this year. I think I have been pretty quiet, but I don't feel I have a lot to add. I had some "sure things" to check out yesterday, but they didn't amount to a morain of sediment, so I'm just as glad I didn't say anything.
Ended up at Jersey's for a burger last night with my roommate and another friend. Hope to hear where people are gathering and what time tonight. Will try to make it out to be with other hunters this evening.
Yeah, woke up to text messages saying that just read the news online too... Well I guess that changes the day's activities a bit... Congrats to the finder, anxious to know where.
Dang it! I was just heading out there! Was gonna dig by the log by the path or on the hill with the rebar just below the ski jump. We did dig the logs for a while last night with the medheads.

Geez - are these finders the ones who call themselves Mary's Medallions? Vicky and I met a lovely group of people at Highland the other night - all with matching hats (snowflakes, colorful, with Mary's Medallion patches sewn on the hats) made by their grandmother, Mary, to whom they dedicate their hunting. The grandmother is too old to get out to hunt much, but they all noodle together at home, and she is on the internet. I told them about the Rehash Bash. They were very interested in the Cooler Crew, watch NTFCF a lot. One guy asked about Green, has met AW.
Oh well, spotted a cool plaque headed down the steps on the north end that mentioned to people meeting and getting married.... (married in 2007 - 4 years ago) lovers meet...
UGH! 2nd time its been at BC and we were NOT! So frustrating! I too was thinking with all the snow it would atleast go into next week. Actually planned my days off for next week. I guess its never safe to assume anything with the medallion hunt.

It tells you to look for those of like mind which is saying look for those like Brett.
Plus the bears reference with the "da" makes you think Bears no question.
This told me look for other quarterbacks which Battle creek has 2!!
Cutler (the bears quarterback) and Warren (old vikings quarterback) both run parallel at BC Park.

Are we making the rounds to where it should have been :goofy:
Big park and easy find.
I think the clues were pretty good, however.
