I am too! It was all I could to even get a glimpse. The drivers on the northbound lane musta been surprised. I've seen a number of motorcades and they usually close both directions of any road that they take. Maybe it was because it was a highway this time. Although they did close hwy 280 on both sides when McCain came through a couple of years ago so who knows.

Sheesh, that's a little nuts. Did they have every state trooper in the lower half of the state there? Seemed like it.

BTW the background noise of the traffic driving by sounded pretty eerie to me, I'm guessing it was just the Doppler effect playing tricks on the camera mic.

My daughter lives and works at the bank in Zumbrota. Word spread like wildfire when he stopped there. She called me when she and her co-workers were running up to Main St.to watch his motorcade. The street was packed! I have a feeling that if he'd stopped at, say the Black Sheep Coffee Shop in SSP, no one would know except the folks in the coffee shop. Small town living is great!

I got stopped on 110 last fall when Biden was in town and on his way from the airport to downtown St. Paul via 35. It was kind of exciting actually.

What movie is playing? I'm guessing Harry Potter...

Twin Cities Public Television is sponsoring a photo contest called Capture Minnesota and another contest specific to the State Fair. I was think that me2's photo of the cotton candy stand at night should be in the State Fair contest and off the top of my head I remember Sarah's Lake Superior stones and CM's skyline from the Lafayette Bridge. That one is one of a kind. Too bad mrmikey's Toad Farm is in WI, or any number of his pictures of the old tractors/tools from the auction would be good too. Maybe he can lie. :smile:

I think I voted for all you have up there so far. Oddly enough, when I went to the challenge page I picked several of your pictures when they weren't even tagged. Of course I recognized the ones with faces :smile: I love the picture of the girls swinging their hair! I've had that one saved on my computer since you first posted it in here.

I was glad that I actually saved that particular shot off my camera before I went to a Tool concert where they made me delete everything on my card even though there was only one shot of my bro in law before the show and nothing of the stage or show since it didn't even start before I was kicked out because I wouldn't let them delete my entire card. They did anyway. I said I had one of a kind personal shots on the card that were nothing to do with the show. I said that I'd delete the one shot of Brian and then leave if that's what it took.. Nope, the guy had a small penis or something and needed to flex his sudo-power. The cops didn't even agree with him. Especially once I said that I'd leave to save those pictures that were mine. But he had my camera and reformatted my entire card so everything was lost. And it was pretty full to begin with. What a prick.

Didn't you mention that at the time it happened? There's a way to recover those files, if the drive isn't written over with new data (all reformatting on a flash card does is tell the system the data isn't there, even though it still is).

Crap! And I knew that for hard drives but didn't correlate at the time. Shoot

The same thing happened to another card I had and we couldn't retrieve them. :angry: :frown:

Your first mistake was letting them get your camera. Make them take it forci Ly and file assault charges for it when thy bring the cops over.

That's what I'll do next time for sure.

Real movers in action.....

I feel your pain. I had to unload the trailer on my fiance's truck last weekend, only had two people there to do it. Took most of the day.

Yeah, it's a little large for a moving truck. She kept all her stuff in the trailer, but changed companies, and can haul her own trailer now instead of company ones, so she needed to clear it out. It wasn't completely full, but full enough to take a while.
