Hey Everyone I have a GREAT Idea for the pre dig gig.
I work Tabs at Lonettis Lounge on Rice Street. Its just a hope down rice to Ma press. The owners Lonettis have an area Large enough for us, There is no charge for the room, no food requirement, In fact we can bring in our food and set it up, we just need to call it catering! There's area for DJ, which is not a problem, I know the owners quite well as I work there, (Not for them, but the charity) yet you get to know them quite well. There's a heated area outside for smokers, and they would love to have us. As Ron Lonetti said ..we make our money of the drinks. They do have a limited menu, Tacos are a buck, burgers are five. Like I said Ma Press would be so easy to access from there. I would like to see it there, I think it would be simple and we don't have to deal with a dinner crowd. Let me know so I can set this up. I hate the TC.com site. By the way.. I clicked my favorites link for the PP discussion board to see if the trolls are stirring yet and it wasn't available. Then I tried searching it the hard way from TC.com site and couldn't find ANY of their discussion boards. I'm wondering if they dumped them all together or it's only viewable for subscribers.
If you go to http://www.twincities.com/treasurehunt/ and click on discussion boards, the link is dead. That would be awesome if they got rid of the boards. Probably wishful thinking though.
yeah definitely wishful thinking. considering it looks like the only problem is a database connection. i'm actually torn on the matter. on the one hand it would likely lead to a great infusion of otherwise lurkers here. on the other hand it would lead to a great infusion of a bunch of crap here. figuring the latter outweighed the former (and that me and the other moderators would rather be out hunting than in here babysitting), i mentioned it to john brewer on facebook the other day when i noticed it.

Our daughter has been home for a week and goes back early tomorrow morning. It's been a whirlwind, but so nice to have her here. It'll be sad to see her go, but then we can anticipate our next face-to-face encounter.
Actually I think the concept is simple enough, all you have to do is get the rocket half way there, the moon's gravity takes care of the rest. With a 3 pound payload... might just have a new hiding place for a medallion :wink:

Hard to say. My account is good for another year and a half or so, I'll reevaluate at that point as to if I renew it or not. It's been quieter here. I expect it'll only really be busy during the hunt, other than that, people have other methods of communication they use.
Surprised no one else posted either. Things seem to be slowing down around here. I'm sure it will be busy after the holidays.
