Penny called comcast and asked for the rep who handles old customers and got some money off our cable bill. Was quite a bit actually. Not sure all the details but I know she had to specifically ask for the "loyalty" department or loyalty deal or something like that.
Doorstep delivery would be okay. If it wasn't in the box, it was in the bushes, out by the fence, randomly thrown into the yard, The box would be easier than the doorstep. Our neighbors would laugh every time they saw us out grabbing the paper from random spots in the yard while theirs was neatly in their box.
the only times we've ever not gotten doorstep delivery is when we get a foot of snow overnight and the sidewalk isn't clear. in that case it ends up in front of the garage door
Paper is on my doorstep at 5 am every day. Never have to worry about it.
Had a rough patch for a while where it was coming at 10 am for about 2 weeks. You do get the standard, "I'll alert the route manager". I got it for days, until one of the customer service reps let it slip that the route manager was my paper boy, temporarily.

I had some issues once with deliver and when the district manager called me back, he said he knew my address well, as he often delivers the route. Seems they went through a period of high carrier turnover.
Amazingly, we have had the same carrier for 5+ years! (the couple comes from Woodbury, by their Christmas card enclosure every second Sunday in Dec. and our return to mail address with tip/card) .... Everyday Wednesday - Sunday, paper is in a rubber band or in a plastic bag (weather determining) our paper is on the front deck around 5:00 - 5:30am. Price was really going up, but this new deal cut us back to half ..... thanks guys!!
With my current job, I have to hit the road by 6:00 to get to work on time. The paper delivery guy stops on our block between 5:55 and 6:10, so there is only about a 30% chance I'll get a morning paper IN the morning. Not gonna subscribe.
No. They are the best neighbors anyone could ever hope to have.
At one point, we would get up early and wait for the carrier du jour to drop it in the wrong place so we could personally ask said carrier to put it in the box. It would last a day or two and then it was again thrown to the wind to land wherever.
My Facebook account has "sessions" showing up from elsewhere (NY, NE, IA, TN). The first time my posts were disappearing. I was able to see that someone from New York and from Nebraska had some kind of activity. I ended their sessions and changed my password. Next I saw someone from Iowa had some sessions. I stepped up the security settings so that Facebook is supposed to e-mail me when someone from a new device tries to access, and for Facebook to also require that I enter a password sent to my phone. The phone passwords are happening when I try to log in (for example from my Droid). But no e-mails are coming through to let me know anyone (including me) is starting sessions on my account.
What else do I need to do to further secure things?
Been about 4+ years since I've logged in here, huge thanks to the very generous gift by Clue Master to sponsor me and let me post again.
A while back I was surfing the WCCO site and came across the story they did on you all for the pre-dig gig this year and though I spotted some familiar faces. After getting back to the cooler crew website, and emailing CM, he directed me back here. I haven't been able to hunt as much in the past years and lost touch with the peoples forum/ableminds websites. It's great to be back!
I suppose 4+ years of slogging might be in order, but I'm thinking that would be borderline impossible, so I might need some cliff notes.
Hope everyone is doing/has been doing well and looking forward to catching up with you all!
You made it! whoo hoo! Glad you could join us med2k. It's a little slow at this time as you know. But aw has his hunt going on in the medallion thread. Although many may not choose to noodle out loud. Glad you're back.
To see sessions, click on the down arrow to the right of "Home", then click on Account Settings-Security Settings, then look for Active Sessions.
Someone told me that can happen when you check Facebook from your cell phone. The call gets routed through other locations. Now that I know that, I've been checking the times, and they do seem to coincide with my cell phone use of Facebook.
Thanks Eags and Terry. You're so right. I've kinda felt numb all day. After she passed away (which btw there were 3 others at the senior care center she was at that passed away within the same hour she did) and we helped load her into a mini van to be transported to the funeral home, we went to her house and cleaned. I think mostly because no one wanted to think about planning a funeral yet.
She crocheted a blanket for me a couple years ago, and I've been trying to find it, don't think I'll fall asleep tonight until I do. Mainly because I really want to have it on my bed. :crying:

Today it was in a bag and right outside on the top step.

Thank goodness for online news.

I assume this has to do with the whole hunt controversy?
What else do I need to do to further secure things?
Thanks for any help you can provide.

How have things been going ?
Then realized.... wow, that's a drive - he is a nice guy but shy.
Figure out your list of hunting questions for him.
Ask him what his last hunt was that he even HELPed with clues OR hiding.
Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!
At least she is no longer in pain. Although the groaning sounds she made from the last few days will not soon be erased from my memory.
