2013 - Cherokee Heights Park

Submitted by ares on

I just got back from HI after searching there for a good 3,4 hours. There were already lots of people when I left there. This morning when I went also there were lots of people there. Surprising to me it hasn't been found. Probably somewhere in the ice :0

Too tired to go out now though, to sleep I go.

another thought I threw out a few days ago, but now I feel the need to rebring back up. Clue 1-Todd spelt out, todd who created medallion, todd who created it in his workshop off of Payne ave.

How did you know that would bring smiles? I enjoy the way you think about things.

I would jump all over that if I wasn't so convinced its at Harriet.

tons of ice will define the place?

Tons of ice would work for the ice palace that was there some years back. That one was HUGE!

I worked last nights jumble, just about popped a vein, too. I'll sit content looking at the pretty words for awhile.

The unscrambled version should be up soon.

As I'm looking at HI in Mappy's book, the more I'm liking how the clues fit. The problem I have is would the CW put it there knowing that with the thawing and refreezing that there is a thin layer of ice- so hunters will end up hacking apart a park that is essentially one giant lawn?

I try not to have the mindset that "they would never put it there because (fill in the blank)-- but this surprises me.

I know this was mentioned earlier and, perhaps, a few times but after renewing today, my view is all jumbled. I either get one clue or a Santa's list I have to scroll through. Did anyone ever figure out how to fix this issue?

BTW, isn't that a holiday gas station next to the downtowner?

Paper is out: Unscrambled clue:

Yon a car wash cuts to the chase,

And equal rights define a place.

Down under there's ice; don't bruise your buns.

Calling a doctor will help you tons

Yon is the car wash - downtown is yon.

Equal rights = Harriet Tubman

Dr Justus Ohage = Harriet Island!

I think it's a Super America. You'd think I'd know for certain as I go to school right there.

I wonder if the bruise your buns line was reworked with the ice that covers so much of the lawn now.

yon a car wash- "over there" I still can't buy into Harriet, though the Dr. reference is REALLY compelling.

Its a Holiday Gas Station. They have a huge blue sign that blinds you at night tring to get onto 94 from 52.

I did that, I still get only 1 message.

I ran into the same problem when I renewed this morning. I changed the # of messages an few times and then made sure I clicked the All icon, next to Prev, Next etc. It finally seemed to correct itself.

I believe they moved to the Phalen area by Phalen Park. I no longer see their Flour Truck hooked up to the building on Plato.

That anchor is there on the side of the park I think it is in. That anchor kept us on Harriet Island the year it was found at Kellogg. Every time I see it, I tend to cringe.

Clarence W. Wigington Pavilion; Clarence was a Black architect which ties in with the last clue's "equal rights defines a place" very well. I studied him a little bit in a class I am taking.
