Thanks, Terry, for trying to help. I am subscribed. Nothing seems to work. It's okay. I, too, think it'll be found soon. This clue with that park, well, I just don't see a lot of hiding places there. Perhaps (and I hope), I am wrong. I plan to venture out again tomorrow as early as possible. First, though, church and a prayer that I'll find it  Being off work for two years and back in school full-time, well, I, like many, could use the money. GL and G'night, All!

I do have a love for Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby. What's sad is I know the lyrics to most of the songs hee hee

    Goodnight!

I should get between the sheets too. It'll be easier to see in the daylight.

    Goodnight and SCDs everyone!

For those out tonight chopping ice, good luck!

Yes he/she really did a excellent job explaining that. Especially with the NHL hockey, I would have NEVER thought of that. Hmm, well Crosby is the Red Herring it appears.

Just getting caught up now. Had some dinner plans come up and a side trip to Minnetonka for a couple more beers and suddenly it's midnight.

So, um, it's a Harriet. Crosby was a red herring. Just like I was telling people at gabes Friday night. You thought they'd give the park away in a song didn't you?

    //Going to bed happy

///be a lot happier had I found the medallion before everyone else caught on

////and I should have bet Jake.

Well I gotta hand it to the cluewriter, tossing everyone to crosby for a week was a good one. I think having people hunting at harriet for a week would have resulted in more broken park equipment, resulting in it being marked out of bounds for next year...

I was thinking that it could relate to two Holiday Gas Stations visable from the park.

Are the snoopy statues still in Harriet by the Pavillion?
    Sat, 01/26/2013 - 10:42 PM Permalink

If thre is a Charlie Brown statue there with Snoopy you got your Holiday Pair,.a Charlie Brown Christmas.

Wish I had time to go out and look tonight.. or in the morning... blah. well here's to hoping it'll still be around tomorrow.

Some of those are kind of stretches. If you ask me it's

    1) rules

    2) the Songs are red herrings (all the Bing Crosby references) and Crosby and Fred Astaire stared in Holiday Inn (A stair, the great stairs)

    3) All the stuff you can do, including playgrounds and the ampatheater that Crosby doesn't have. Winter allows what summer forbids is not an activity (no "do in winter") The ice palace can't be built in the summer and the largest one was on Harriet

    4) hilly/the levee, Crashed Ice can be seen from the park

    5) on a floodplain, Cottonwoods the theme of Don't Fence Me In, I assume there is a fence somewhere near where it's hidden

    6) It's in St Paul, School = harriet bishop, by the old trees

    7) you can see the 1st national bank building, aka the Big 1, the Yaht club, under the snow and ice

:ooh: From what I've read there's "anchors away", downtowner (Downtown), Wigington Pavalion/Harriet Tubman, Dr Justus Ohage

That's my reasoning on Harriet. Now no one look till I can get out and hunt tomorrow.

Im just adding to your noodle question.

    Gilby

Agreed. I thought some of those were stretches as well. I like your list better, KISS it.

    Impressive research.

    MrsMGhunter

no no its all good  I am just laughing to myself how far off I was with Crosby! I saw that they did have the statues there though, I am guessing of course they are no longer there, but its a great sign to point out Harriet as the place this year!
    Sat, 01/26/2013 - 10:53 PM Permalink
    tom

I beleive the 1st National Bank building is owned by Anchor Bank now.

What I'm courious about now is, aside todays clue what is it hidden in, and what about a street refrence.
    Sat, 01/26/2013 - 10:55 PM Permalink
    MrsMGhunter

I took wash to equal water? So thats where I was thinking the water street which leads into Dr.Justus Rd.

I still hesitate that WC folks want mad, chaotic digging at Harriet; but, I may be proven wrong!
    Sat, 01/26/2013 - 10:59 PM Permalink
    MrsMGhunter

I know, I do get worried about those who don't care for things in the park. Then again, maybe they really want a park with great reference points since the snow/weather isn't that great this year.

You know, it could even be in Cherokee.Ups and Downs.

Don't go to far up stream, and don't go too far down stream.

Yon a car wash cuts to the chase -- anchors away -- (great noodle!)

[There is a marina at crosby]

And equal rights define a place -- 1972 ERA year - Same year

    as the watergate breakin.

WATEGATE MARINA -- still crosby after all these jeers

    New Daddy

    Not Crosby

But for you Crosby crazies, and you would be crazy to look there because it is the wrong park. equal rights - women just got equal combat rights, Fort Snelling based national guard is piloting this.

Please all reread the clues with KISS. Remember you need to do as literal as possible interpretation of what they are saying.

I keep trying to tell my husband that, but he keeps going deep into google. I swear- the two of us are wonderful friends, except during the hunt. Nobody can noodle prepositions like my Dan.

    Andrea

Ditto to you and Gilby... if you have to connect too many dots to make it fit the park, I don't think it is real.

how about car wash ---hint ya know from me---"working"
