In an aside, I had posed a question for WCCOs good question and got a reply today.
With the light rail heavy construction completed, most of the stop lights have been replaced. When stopped at the light, I kept hearing a ticking noise - like ticking down seconds. I figured there was a reason, but didn't know what so I asked.
Turns out they are for people with limited or no vision.
I've never been this excited or, at least, in a long, LONG time! I am home but more because of my dad. He's been out hunting with me all day today and it's taken its toll. He feels it, too, though, and doesn't want me to go back out without him. Pretty funny, since I had to beg and plead with him to go with me today. He finally left at my mom's urging. She's battling cancer and wanted some peace and quiet today.
Unfortunately, tonight is it for me. I have school tomorrow and work tomorrow night. I'm a little stressed about working (first time) but now I'm just upset if this puck is not found by then. I'll be itching to get back out there! At least, I'll be working in downtown St. Paul, which isn't too far from the park.
I feel like a good spot of Cherokee to look in is right off of King's St., by the tennis court. "Calling a doctor will help you tons" There is a nice patch of woods, with a couple of fences near the Tennis court area and on the other side by the bridge. There's a clear view of downtown towards the back of the woods. It's only been semi-searched in with lots and lots of potential hiding spots. The overlook has been searched thoroughly and the main part of the park is a nice even layer of fresh snow, so I doubt it's around there. Or another good spot might be right of Smith's bridge, not toward the left but to the right, by that bench. I found a Pirate Medallion there last year and there's a nice little scenic view.
But after 8 hours of solid searching today, I'm beat...and to be honest, ready for it to be found lol so I can release this burden from my shoulders.
Was in the same spot today and had the same thought. Metro State at the top of the view and the TI sign just down the path, a fence near the box, lots lines up. My trouble, if that area is a heavenly view CW needs a new perspective. The power transformers and their buzz and haze and the railroad and just the industrious enviro make it hard for me to get in that moment.
I was liking that area a little earlier today, like that Baldinger is there, just across from the trail, and Neid Lane (city councilman). Was wondering if the 4 c's could be referring to streets in the area named for councilmen, but could only come up with two, Tedesco and Neid...?
See, it's hard to look past Cherokee because of clue 8. But really, how do the first 7 fit? I mean, yea, playgrounds, trails, and all the other crap that's in 90% of parks. But what frills does nature take away? What's the winter only activity? Where's the fence?
All along the edge there are remains of an old chain link fence, in some areas there are just post, other areas have sections of chain link left behind.
I found a new Happy Holidays couple ....Sonny and Cher...They even had a holiday special years ago...she is part Cherokee..and now with this clue ..the gopher it's confirmed that im not off base..I was expecting a song clue tonight about one of her songs...but this is just as good
