You can't win if you don't dig - or pick the right park in the pool. Have fun!

That's actually really good. But explain again to me how it fits Como and the Zoo clue we're going to get tonight?

PilotsHatGuy

My bet is both, hence the use of the number 1 versus the word one.

I never give up till the bloody end. Says the girl who was in TS till 4am AFTER it was found. Wish he would have told me since I was next to him....sigh

Looking forward to a fun night, if its not found I will have to drag myself to the park again by dawn. This is the grueling part of the hunt.

I would tell you, true story.

Thats actually what I was getting at cause pine trees are equvilant of wreaths and neither are "famous". Mlk being famous? You would be combining 2 clues. Hhhowever.how about the 1 percent is 1 percent milk ( mlk)?

Look through the holes for the answer you seek :pbpt:

It's the vague clues. No one is sure where to go.

from the PP board...

One could argue we've been led downriver from Crosby, to Lilydale, to Harriet Island, to the Vento Trail, and now up a creek.

Pine tree is equivilant to a christmas wreath? Ya ok..

hmm..that is quite insightful. Now if that was done on purpose from the CW, that is truly a brillant yet fustrating way to mess with us.

Wow what a crazy sign

Is it too abstract to eliminate equal rights here....

"and equal rights" define a place

anagram

"This quadrangle" define a place
Tue, 01/29/2013 - 6:22 PM Permalink
mrmnmikey

woodland creatures.

Cheekiest? Rumpiest? Judge their features.

fur is bushy? Bushes?
Tue, 01/29/2013 - 6:24 PM Permalink
MrsMGhunter

a polygon with 4 sides? Wasn't there a reference in the past Cherokee of some sort of shape to the building?
Tue, 01/29/2013 - 6:25 PM Permalink

.............that banging sound you hear is my head on my desk.
Tue, 01/29/2013 - 6:27 PM Permalink
MrsMGhunter

cheek-rump-top/bottom of park? This clue to me kindof sounds like if people were to debate.

Top or bottom of park? lilydale or cherokee. end of the park at the county line or not?

Dakota or Ramsey county?

I get this because of the question marks and 'or'

or judge their features-aka judge the park features?

HA!! Its ok I am there with everyone feeling that way. I keep staring at these clues thinking something is going to come to me to reveal the spot.

Ugh..the thing that is driving me nuts is holiday pair.
Tue, 01/29/2013 - 6:28 PM Permalink
MrsMGhunter

If that anagram works. Which hey..its all possible, could be referring to a sign at the park. Such as the sign to Cherokee or to the overlooks?

Brassmonkey

I find it best to let the really early clues stand aside at this point and follow along with the latest clue. We are at 11 and they will be spelling it out very explicitly tonight.

I agree Brass, the only question is do you read it with the car running, or are you already shovel ready?

For all we know the medallion has a picture of bing Crosby attached to it and the medallion is wrapped in Reynolds wrap. There's your pair.

Clue 2 historically tells what it's in more than any other clue if I recall the stats correctly.

If there are 2 of any holiday feel item. Like 2 trees or 2 holiday wreathes....  in any case neither is "famous"
Tue, 01/29/2013 - 6:40 PM Permalink

or a medallion strapped and bound between 2 turtle doves. See, now I'm back to BVS

Not to pick on you in particular, but can we just stipulate that Crosby park is a known place where men have anonymous relations, mostly because they are creepy closet cases who don't want tell their wives? Sorry, but this nicotine pach isn't working, and gay jokes are so 1978.

In 1998 it was the pyramid shapes that top the park building near the large picnic pavillion

I like the 1% clue referring to the wealthy people who supported the park. That feels right.

I'm pretty sure the Happy Holidays pair is a reference to Suter and Parise--the two star players the Wild signed on July 4. Just a reference to the excel center being with in eyesight of the park. But how many times have I paid the price of starting a sentence with "I'm pretty sure . . . "
Tue, 01/29/2013 - 6:47 PM Permalink

"Lilydale Unit"

Heard from our son today. He was the Ranger having an event on the lake at Crosby on Saturday. He said it was insane down there with cars and people. He saw one pickup truck with a Cooler Crew sign in the windshield.

So who has the pickup with the Cooler Crew sign?

Anyone know if there are any of those "grand rounds" signs in Cherokee? I know I've seen them along the Vento trail and at phalen among other places.
Tue, 01/29/2013 - 6:57 PM Permalink
leelabell

The Mississippi river thing? Yes. I think people use that for Wheel of Fortune.
Tue, 01/29/2013 - 6:59 PM Permalink
PilotsHatGuy

You mean the green street signs for the "mississippi river road" or the Grand Rounds sings like Mikey posted a picture of, pointing out how far to get to other parks and landmarks.
Tue, 01/29/2013 - 7:00 PM Permalink
MrsMGhunter

I will be there with the shovel ready
Tue, 01/29/2013 - 7:00 PM Permalink
leelabell

I'm talking about the river thing, not the thing like Mike posted. Ask Tim. He'll know about the Grand Rounds thing. He isn't on here.
Tue, 01/29/2013 - 7:02 PM Permalink
MrsMGhunter

you mean this sign?
Tue, 01/29/2013 - 7:03 PM Permalink
queenmalley

Jake in that WCCO video claims it is FOR SURE in Cherokee Park.
Tue, 01/29/2013 - 7:03 PM Permalink
PilotsHatGuy

Yea, that's the Wheel of fortune sign. I'm curious if they have "grand rounds" sign too, cause I like the idea that it's the red herring. They're fairly new so I know the map book won't have it.
Tue, 01/29/2013 - 7:06 PM Permalink
leelabell

That's what I meant, but not what PHG meant.
Tue, 01/29/2013 - 7:07 PM Permalink
MrsMGhunter

OHHH like the one by the entrance of Swede. No, none of those at Cherokee. Or are you meaning the scenic byway signs? None of those either.
Tue, 01/29/2013 - 7:08 PM Permalink
PilotsHatGuy

No, that's the sign I was wondering about.

So it looks like one more hour to see if the CW is going to tell us that the cat out of the hat.
