I agree - I have doubts about SL, primarily because the clues seem to fit almost too well, like I'm forcing them because I grew up in that area and hope that it's there. With that said, after spending a few hours there last night, there's a lot of ground there, so putting people in the right spot early makes sense.
Yes, I was thinking the Brigadoon Dr, Heather Dr, and Highland Dr near Snail on Clue 4 for Scottish "Laddie and lass" may be way too obvious and thus red herring?

Another street name reference (maybe someone has mentioned it): On Google Maps of Snail Lake the big County Road F West. Most Minnesota highways have another name attached. So I Googled "County Road F West Shoreview MN" and it says "Land O Lakes Shoreview office" for County Road F West.
