That is one place we didn't see hunters tonight, but I think it would be mighty funny if it was found there.

I was out at Como today and walked around the frog pond. I just thought of how little snow there was, and if it was there, how easy it would be to find it! That's a really small area. A thought, though was that there are pools of water under the trees in the east grounds. Also, there was a mysterious man with a large camera who had parked a big black sedan near the frog pond and took off across the east grounds. He seemed to be on a mission...stopped to take a photo of people walking the east grounds. In 2014, there was a similar lurker at Como when I was hunting down there trying to strike up a conversation with me. He creeped me out, so I avoided him. A few days later, it was found nearby. It made me wonder if he was the CR!

I've been waiting for years for it to be at long lake. Am I missing my year?

I think Como is too easy. I really think it's a diversion.

I keep thinking the same thing. Remember everyone at Bruce Vento and it turned out to be the wrong place.

Pool 2 extends from Lock & Dam 2 located near Hastings, Minnesota upstream to Lock & Dam 1 located near St. Paul, Minnesota.

So, right in front of say, Hidden falls.

Nice find; still difficult to narrow down. Long Lake (the popular place of Hunt) and of course Lake Como (red herring).

Is there a crowd at Long Lake? We were there two nights ago and a few cars showed up shortly after the clue came out.

It seems there hasn't been a lot of noodling on the boards about what the medallion looks like or what it might be in. It seems in past hunts the clues for the puck and what it is in would be given by now, but maybe that's my bad memory.

If, for example, the puck's image is of the capitol dome, then that would change the thought process for picking a park.

As for what it is in, how about a Kit Kat wrapper? "Trick or tweet", sweet and "break" as in "give me a break" from the candy bar's jingle.

Chatter on the PP boards seems to indicate that there might be an anagram in clue 6. It feels like an anagram clue to me, but I can't find anything useful.

My noodles are the most tremendous noodles. Big League noodle. Few people at Hidden falls, despite clue 5. Sad!

the first hunt in 2007 and then the 2008 hunt clues have the words revel, level and Devil. Are they referring back to those with these new clues?

We were out checking on some things. For all the talk about Como - we saw 12 people hunting. We did not go around the lake.

We checked out Highland too and about 10 hunters out there.

For a Friday afternoon, one would expect people to believe in their park to be at the digging stage.

None of the hunters we saw were digging though they had digging tools with them.

How about a pool of fish hatchery at acient burial grounds? Pick your grounds?

I agree with this. Not nearly as many people out and about as in recent years. Vento was busy for clue 6 last year if I recall correctly.

That makes sense Mikey and is my favorite park this year.

The only other ancient thing that I can think of is the artifacts and dinosaurs at the Science Museum that can be seen from Harriet Island with the cathedral dome in view and I thought the pool reference might be a nod to the public baths that used to be there.

I was just thinking about Round Lake north of Phalen in Maplewood. I went walking there this summer and there is plenty of mire, a couple of fishing bridges and a pretty good parking lot. There is also a restroom Pavillion. Maybe I'll pop up there tomorrow for a bit...

Possibly the Any Fool referencing a swimming pool could mean that a beach is intended instead. Like wise a bathroom with no stall may mean changing rooms like at a beach.

Lake Phalen has a beach and the historic bathhouse to boot.

The Dome by the Mire may reference the island in between those swampy creeks possibly? A stretch,

The youth hockey team for North Saint Paul/Johnson/ Como are called the Polar Devils, they used to be just called the devils before NSP was added, and they play a mite (5yr old) hockey tourney at Phalen Rec Center, which is called the Winter Carnival Mite Jamboree. A loooong stretch but it kind of fits.

Other historical fun stuff:

Stop your pondering and start wandering

You must rebel from the crowd

Track for a look beneath the pack

And please ignore no bell

Does this make sense?

Stop your pondering and start wandering

From the crowd you must rebel

Look for a track beneath the pack

And please ignore no bell

I think this is better.
