There was a fair number of people at Phalen and Keller. Also a fair number at Como when we went through there.

Noted however, is there is a lot of walking around with digging tools and little digging going on.

There are lots of cars at IM with people looking like hunters sitting inside them.

So there is this clue 4

Off the track is your hunting pack

If it gets caught below the tire

It'll be in hand, just as you planned

When you find the dome by the mire

What would happen if you got your hunting pack caught under the tire? I think the tire/wheel would lock. Wheelock runs both into Phalen and Como so this doesn't give away anything necessarily, but if anyone has a different idea sharing would be nice.

I think the dome could very well be on the park signs that are run through St. Paul Park and Recreation as it's part of their logo.

The Como clue about the dome referred to a mural at the old Como pool, now gone.

Parks hit today--

Highland, one other group.

Bruce Vento, quite a few, mostly near tracks

Indian Mounds, quite a few.

Como, most Billy's number.

I have walked about 3 miles today.

And watched mini mite hockey game, which is kind of like electric football.

Good luck to all. I love St. Paul.

So maybe not below (south)of Wheelock. I personally like the cool cold king to be Jack Frost (Frost Ave), but it's probably in reference to Boreas given the context of the clue.

I do like the dome being the St Paul signs as you enter the city. There is one across from Phalen Golf Course on 61, just south of Larpenteur.

Another thought about 61 and clue 3...

perhaps the ancient band is Hwy 61 itself (lie a ribbon of highway, but a band). You can take your family on a spin on 61, or say good bye to them as they are traveling greater distances on the highway since it stretches from Wyoming MN to NOLA. Kind of a stretch but that clue is really puzzling me! Stretching it all kinds of ways! :pbpt:

On the park signs there is also domes pictured as their logo so I'm comfortable with that.

61 also goes north to the Canadian Border. Most counties that have county roads run more or less beside I35 are named County 61 that we have used going or coming from up north when I35 backed up. North of Duluth it does become hiway 61 again.

I still am wanting to see the explanation for ancient band. It will be the first explanation I look for after this is found.

I agree! Clue 3 may be the first explanation I read...though I doubt they'll give all of the intel away

If this pack of hunters got caught under tires, we would be one hurt pack.

Lot of really close anagrams for BC, but nothing perfect that I can find. Anybody?

I'm thinking Arlington/Rice field right now. There's a track that runs under Wheelock between Jackson and Rice nearby. I can get Arling out of clue 6, Devil, revel and angle...with some leftover letters. There's also an indoor batting cage with a dome? I dunno...

There is a Clue 8 already up. 10:12pm!

The young boy's amusement, to his elders bemusement,

Is casting his luck to the skies

His supple wrist flicks with a twist

Hoping to catch a silvery prize

Seems fishing is perhaps more important to this hunt than thought earlier.

I'm not seeing anything yet that might be an anagram.

I would guess this could mean a fishing area at a local lake and perhaps with fishing piers.

If anyone wants to see all the clues together, there is another folder in the 2017 - Public Land in Ramsey County where all the clues, including clue 8 are posted.

Casting - fly fishing or fishing from a dock, shore, boat?

Sounds like our prize is silvery this year.+

Or

Lakewood hills. Disc golf is between pool and fishing pier.

I hate loosing my disc"s there. I always loose them in the quagmires there.

Does anyone find the use of bemusement odd? Why are the elders puzzled/confused about the boy's amusement? Also why specifically a young boy? Is there a story from history here? Maybe I'm overthinking this. I agree with the ideas that it might be hanging somewhere.

I was thinking about the med being off the ground with the dangle clue also. I also though about people dangling off the zip line at como, near the wolf pack. I also saw what looked like the Devils face on the gate at Hamlin and Midway. The gate was erected in 1937, the same year as the looney tunes record with Toole oo on the b side. There's also a dome in the mire, rain garden, just below the small hill behind the wolf lot, cage.

St. Paul is looking to build a tuj lub court. So what exactly is tuj lub?

By Joe Kimball | 09/22/14

Last month, as part of his 2015 budget, St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman announced he wanted to spend city money to build a court for tuj lub. To which many a resident replied: "Huh?"

I was assigned to find out more about tuj lub, with my first insight being: It's a sport. And that it's not pronounced tudge-lub, it's "too-loo" (and sometimes among the Hmong: tuaj lub, or too-a loo).

Link to story

Is it popular elsewhere in the U.S.?

It's played in all parts of the country where Hmong have settled, and local teams often travel to far-away tournaments. Each July 4, teams from around the country compete here at the major Hmong festival held in St. Paul's Como Park, which is considered to be a sort of Super Bowl of tuj lub.

Can fit every thing to como, but seems too easy. Can't fit the no Belk very easy though.
