It was really surprising to see the gates at Phalen open last night. I will have to go out after 10:30 tonight to see if they are open cuz they are not normally open that late.

It is usually a standard clue. How about it not even being in a park. They haven't mentioned "park" in any clue yet. The Fair Grounds have lots of room.

There is a bike path around Phalen lake

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 11:49 AM Permalink

sunnyD, I have to admit I have not been to Phalen yet nor am I familiar with the park are there any ball fields or volleyball courts etc. there?

there is a lot that matches up at phalen i was there last year, and if they are open that late that would be odd because they did close before that last year

Frost- There are BallFeilds at the park right across the street at Phalen Rec Center

Chris, I agree. I was there last year too and the gates were closed. We were digging over by the hockey rinks across the street. If it is by the lake, the park would have to be open because there is very limited parking otherwise.

CrazyFT50, Thanks, FYI I still have a sand theory from the mettle clue and that the sacred plastic coin will be in or around it.

i'm thinking that the statue thing is really important...Not having one at phalen anywhere is the only big turn off from phalen.

Want me to go over there it would take me 2 min LOL

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 12:01 PM Permalink

Doesn't really have to be a statue. It says "plenty of mettle (courage)" "Look for his name around our deal"

"Fettle"...when talking in terms of metalworking (Man of Steel) refers to a sand that is placed into the furnace to prepare it for the pouring of liquid metal. I have been toying with this theory.
