Anyway, I should probably head out so I can actually get there on time tonight. I may head out afterwards but probably more to socialize than to dig, if that's a possibility.

Allison, once the clue gets here, I will post it at your club, IF I REMEMBER!

"Jordenn, You ignoring me?"

I think she left. I think there's so much activity in here that posts get missed. I don't think anyone is ignoring anyone on purpose.

Usual Suspect

little noodle for you Arkwright/Arlington fans...there is a Burr street 1 block east of the park (famous duel)

I agree with you AW. The writers did say that the hunt would be more of a challenge than last year and they've held up to their bargin. I'm not happy about that because I really wanted to be digging today at a park that I knew the medallion was hidden there. I'm with the rest of you hoping the next clue sends us to a definite location.

step, i'm makin a good stretch here, but off-base = awol refers to a wall, or the stone gates at hamline and midway. there are also a couple of ball fields in the nw corner of the zone.

I still believe that the old way of travel is the river

mem'ory lane' n the memory of ones past life likened to a road down which one may travel: to walk down memory lane.

= walking paths =

Ares - WOW, that's good. never thought of it that way. hmmmm.

By the way, the film crew told me today that people aren't calling them to say where they are digging so they're just kind of wandering around randomly. I suppose in a day or two it won't matter, but if you plan on being somewhere they have a message number, 612 676 2147 where you can tell them where you'll be and when. I think they're still looking for new faces to talk to.

But....once again, every park has walls and ball fields!! :)

Pryzmsphere

Hey Crooks....have you thought of anything new?

Sat, 01/27/2001 - 10:46 PM Permalink
izzyardo

not really. about half of it is stll flowing...does it not flow to warmer parts of this country that stay warm during this time of year? why should it matter if the river is frozen or not?

Sat, 01/27/2001 - 10:46 PM Permalink
ares

unfortunately, step we're still at a point where it can be anywhere. not only do we have factions of crew(wo)men for each park, we've got them for different areas of the same park. this clue-writing is killing me.

Isn't transportation GREAT!!! No matter how much you think you have it figured out, there's always a different way. Boat, train, car, wagon, horse, feet, airplane, etc. These writers have researched their clues to fit anything. We as hunters are just as smart to be able to make them fit any park we want. Life's great and so is the hunt!!!

Dad, its funny, I call you dad, but I don't even know your first name!

regg, that honor is something reserved for those who know me :). i bet step doesn't even remember my first name, but i know his. if you read back 10000 or so posts its occasionally spread out in there :)

b4 you go, izzy if you catch this, the underside of the river continuously flows. it's not frozen solid.

Sat, 01/27/2001 - 10:48 PM Permalink
StepDogg

Ares - I know the first name....just never use it in posts! :)

Sat, 01/27/2001 - 10:48 PM Permalink

step, it doesn't matter if you do. a few clicks, and it can be found. i'm kinda the vain sort if ya know what i mean. :)

izz..well, this is the winter carnival and this is st. paul..when i think about history and travel i would think they were talking about here..and not in Kansas or...say..New Oreleans

SURE DOES! Yep almost finished....just waiting for my relief! It's been a long day and no I have to drag my butt out in the cold and look for a piece of plastic in cardboard. Oui! what a day!

I think its by the Palm Lot and minigolf course! Lots of diggers there. By the mini-golf course, there are ballfields, a path (old fashion way may be walking!), and the carosel is almost visible!

at least you're not jumpin into a frozen lake on new year's, pryzm.

I got very fine "veryfine" drink out of one of the clues. Did anyone see a "Veryfine" drink pop machine at any of the parks? I also was wondering about the "one way"

rich, i wasn't trying to imply anything with that, just making a fact. although the emphasis you put in the second question reminds me. sailing is the second oldest form of travel known to man when you think about it.
