matty, i can think of at least 3 different areas at como it fits 1) on the west picnic grounds (uphill from the fire rings), 2) out in mcmurray field (see scribes scribings for the reasons), 3) out by the lakeside pavilion.
matty, they're references to the treasure hunter's guide, http://www.treasurehunt.8m.com/, or you can go to the fire ring area and ask around for steve worthman.
That is true. Thanks. There is always so much comotion there. I think they might want to steer clear of the winter carnival activites around there though. What do you think?
What exactly is out at the Lakeside Pavillion. There any places in the pavillion for hot drinks? I have a feeling even though I am pretty new to the hunt and all, that is around there too. Then again I could be wrong.
Kevin, the pavillion sells all sorts of things, drinks, foood ..etc. There are benches and a waterfall outside the pavillion. There is also a paerking lot on both sides. Paddle boats in the summer time below.
kev, there may or may not be a coffee shop in the building on the lakeside pavillion. also, it is the home to the highest hill in the park (if this clue keeps you depressed) and there's a view of the golf course clubhouse (playing might put a smile on your face). lexington pkwy once passed by the pavillion before it was moved farther west (old way to travel)
what would be circular by the pavillion. I know it is some sort of dove box or something. Now in clue 7 "Think of traveling the old way again And you might make a big haul. Could be the bridge right. So where is the bridge exactly close to the pavillion?
Hi to all! Finally got this (*&%$*$(* computer going! Can't wait til next clue. I'm stuck at work and can't go out and dig :( So I have to live vicariously through the Crew!
indeed it could, pup, at least linking. just stay off it. my theory still stands that the circular is a reference to the conservatory, carousel, or fire pits signifying the right area, but are out of view of the medallion hiding place.
Well folks, I just got a weather bulletin in my e-mail: Winter storm watch Monday and Monday night. A mixture of snow and freezing rain will cross the iowa border late tonight. It will continue spreading north reaching the twin cities around Noon (monday). Significant accumulations of ice are possible,The precipitation should change over to mainly all snow during Monday night. SO EVERYONE STAY SAFE - HOPEFULLY ONE OF US WILL FIND IT TONIGHT!!!
Ok everyone, i'll be at the parking lot in the West Picnic Grounds at Como tonight. Look for a Black Ford Explorer, with a strobe light flashing (so you can find me). I will have free apple cider, cookies for 50 cents a package (16 in a package), Granola Bars for 50 cents (2 in a package), and those amazing little hand/feet warmers for 75 cents each. I might have a little space heater in the back so you can warm up your hands and stuff. I will be leaving for Como in the next hour or two. See you all there! - Derick
here's the thing with traveling the old way. it all depends on who you ask. i'm addicted to my car (and i'm 24 for the record), and thus i consider things like the bus to be the old way. my parents remember the streetcars, though i question whether they had electricity to run them back then :) and dinosaur travel :). riverboat travel, rail travel. it all depends on the age of who you ask.
Oh. Where do you think it is in Como??
I am frustrated because I do not know where to dig anymore. It fits to everywhere!!!
Zone 4 or Zone 6 if I knew right where those areas are.
What does Zone 4 or Zone 6 mean? Where did you get that from?

Do you think it would be in McMurray field with all the boot hockey and activity??
who knows, matty, stranger things have been known to happen.
That is true. Thanks. There is always so much comotion there. I think they might want to steer clear of the winter carnival activites around there though. What do you think?

joe!!!
The old way to travel could also mean the old bridge and waterway that used to be in Como Lake. The pavillion does sell hot coffee.
The boats could be the old way to travel (some one probly all ready said that)
sounds good to me now to find a way to get there to help dig.
I'd pick ya up Kevin, but I think I am going to wait until half time of the superbowl. Paddle boats could also be riding around can be fun quote.
on the west side the trolley would be a old way to travel
it's time to get a treasure hunter's guide, that sounds neat, we didn't know there was such a thing available and close to home. Price?
west side by where?
what would be circular by the pavillion. I know it is some sort of dove box or something. Now in clue 7 "Think of traveling the old way again And you might make a big haul. Could be the bridge right. So where is the bridge exactly close to the pavillion?
by the carousols Matty
Ares, couldn't the golf course also be cicular thinking could be one way of linking?
mine was 14 bucks, never. steve was still at como when i took off. just look for the guy using a shovel with no handle :)
howdy y'all...has anyone dug the puck up yet?
what time is that at matty.
Thanks, Donna. The haul could also mean many other things. Haul= bus station near McMurray fields. Haul- up hill.

Superbowl starts 5:30- half time possibly around 6:30 or 7:00

True Ares. What is your thought on memore lane?
and let's not forget the street car line that's quite visible from the west end of the park. (just south of horton av.)

matty, beulah was allegedly once named memory lane.
isn't the clubhouse at Como circular? could it also be Something as simple as the medallion being circular?
That is right where I live!! do you think it is on that street?
believe the clubhouse is octagonal, never.
not necessarily on the street, but it's definitely a possible bounding point.
worked out the letters in beulah and the only word i could get out of it was HAUL
I really wish I had the time to go digging, but I guess a little thing called school is more important (at least in somebody's world)
Ok, how about haul---buses??
haul could have to do with the river...or horses perhaps?? I have no idea, just forget I said anything at all
