Ares - Well I used to do it with the folks back in elem, but never really got the clues...just followed them around! I have them to thank for starting the addiction!
Have yet to pick up a shovel, myself. Don't see reason. As of now I see it as if some farmer told me they buried 10 large in their whole corn field, I wouldn't pick up a shovel until I knew roughly where it was. I know which corn field it's in, but the rest is all speculative at this point. The way I see it, I've got 2 fewer days of fatigue under my belt than lots of folks. I'll take my chances with a happenstance finding.
Annette, my grandpa and mom stopped off and looked at their clues right in front of the mail box. Legend has it my grandpa set his gloves on top of the mail box too!
Here's a new thought the zoo is part of the park maybe they just tossed the damn thing into the polar bear pit to add a little extra challenge to the hunt
ViolentJ we cool I don't need to get into another fight Hey Shoveler you bringn the beer tonight, Since vampires don't drink I won't ask Allison Wonderland
since step and i have started something here, why doesn't everyone chime in on what got you addicted to the hunt. i would 'cept i'm still trying to put a finger on exactly where/when.
thanks ares, that makes me feel better, i am as obsessed as the rest of you, if not more. my better half is in bed right now, and i should be too, but i am waiting for the on line clue, since i can't seem to hang on to my paper version. i guess i screwed up there !
nope my beer is stronger then 3.2, not allowed in the park, I know of some eastsiders who'll have some there too, just look for the pickup with the tail down and the gun rack.
what got me addicted...was...damn...i dont know...but now...its..its..GRABBED ME BY THE THROAT AND IT WONT LET GO! AND IM LIKE DAYAM MAN! GET OFF!! AND IT WONT.....uh..uh...hold up. I didnt mean that.
I feel as though, all along, the first clue had pointed us to Como. June, the flower for that month is Rose, and Rose street is right at Como. Try where Rose intersects Victoria
Joann -That is what I thought, but I didn't see your post right away. I would have helped you out, but have been on and off checking while doing work so that I can take tomorrow off.
Ares, all my life, my parents brought me to the parks when i was young. My first memory of the hunt is being in a park at age 7 with my mom, uncle and his friend. We were the only ones in the entire park. My mom and I got Hot Choc. at Mcdonalds afterwards. Eversince I have been involved, but not every year. I separated from the folks for hunting the year of Cherokee '98!
Good one Queen! LOL! For awhile I thought of the airplanes circling overhead... now I'm so dizzy something is circling over MY head
Circular thinking=reading the paper and Linking=Gateway Dr.

circular thinking makes me think of "gateway" -chain-link fence-
Whos gonna be out besides me n Shaggy and where at?
No, I'm going to bed. I don't think this cold is going to let me do much more digging.
I hope the clue is a good one and gives something useful away.
Joann - what clue are you looking for?

For any disbelievers left it is COMO, and the memory lane or old traveling thing whatever it was its the trolley
Brew, What's on your mind? What are you referencing with Rose????
I may have seen that, but about the only thing that stands out in my mind from today were the guys in the bright orange.
thanks ares, that makes me feel better, i am as obsessed as the rest of you, if not more. my better half is in bed right now, and i should be too, but i am waiting for the on line clue, since i can't seem to hang on to my paper version. i guess i screwed up there !

Shoveler come on you bringing the beer

I thought the riding around was maybe the amusement park. But I can also see it as being the bike paths by the lake.
