There are either: 1)imprinted animals or 2)imprinted animal tracks in the cement under the Midway Picnic Pavillion. I can't remember which.

I'm willing to go check out the old bridge. Sounds like Ace has done his/her homework on the "man of mettle" Better than anything my feeble brain has come up with so far...

when you walk right up to the old bridge there is a table & chairs not like a set up for an event but a set up like somebody lives there or hangs out there up under the bridge you wouldnt be able to see it unless you were right next to the bridge

Mon, 01/29/2001 - 12:39 AM Permalink
Frosti

Kev, do you have an extra shovel? I can get mine out of the shed, but if you've got easy access that would help.

Ace, where are you? Anywhere near the east side?

Ace, thanks for the bridge info. I am not going out searching until tomorrow. I hope the weather holds.

I just can't seem to get all the clues working in one location. I have a feeling we will be doing this again tomorrow night.

Ace, I appreciate your input. But there's a point, when sharing ideas that you have to let people decide for themselves if they want to use it or not. And people will slog for information that is of importance. Also, it's not a good idea to give away everything that's up your sleeve.

Mon, 01/29/2001 - 12:39 AM Permalink
lelej

Did you gallopp on in yet??

Mon, 01/29/2001 - 12:40 AM Permalink

what does everyone think about the circular thinking having something to do with the paddleboats? they just sold them all too so they were an old way of traveling...shot in the dark!

Mon, 01/29/2001 - 12:40 AM Permalink
Kevin Kasl

yes I have a shovel and a light. 1-2 hours for digging sound okay with you. I have a lanter to dig by.

Jeez this is exciting and I ain't even going out tonight. I did see plenty of fresh animal tracks (hopefully only deer) last night at the Capitol - pretty spooky.

St. Cloud Digga

I think that it is by the dutch ovens but I could be wrong. I also think that it is by the street because one of the clues say something about east west and all of the streets around como run east west. except lexington and hamline. but they will not hide it by those streets because it is too dangerous. and were do you think it is?

Mon, 01/29/2001 - 12:41 AM Permalink
Ace

well duane.. seeing as where i cant go searching ....it is the challenge of the hunt that is fun for me... not the money really... been a die hard for15 yrs..

BRR that sounds pretty cold I am by Mcnight and Larry ho how far is that?

Mon, 01/29/2001 - 12:42 AM Permalink

I'm thinking that Kevin and I are probably going out. I've got the minivan, but there's only one seat that's not full of kiddie seats, so you'd have to ride in back. But I wouldn't mind having a registered button along for the ride.

Diamond which corner of case and Earl to be on and what kind of car.

Mon, 01/29/2001 - 12:43 AM Permalink

Best bet is still at the West Picnic Grounds by the ballfield/mini golf, but I'm starting to think Midway Picnic Pavillion.
