Oakdale woman finds medallion in Como Park
A pre-school teacher from Oakdale has won this year's Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt.Cathi Hogan returned the medallion to the Pioneer Press offices this morning, and she is expected to claim the full $10,000 prize.
"It is an answer to prayer," said Hogan, who found the medallion this morning in Como Park. Hogan said she grew up searching for the medallion each year, and that she was inspired this year by meeting three other people who had found the medal in previous years. The Pioneer Press is planning an 11:30 a.m. news conference.
