A thought occured to me yesterday, I should make a elite group of diggers, and then give them a name. My group will be called the Snow Studs. And it will consist of only the best of the best. If you have found any sticks or any boxes, this does NOT help your resume, because sticks and boxes are easy to find. Unless they have the medallion in them of course.

Scribe isn't Anti-Stud............she's anti "Snow-Stud".

Nuff said?

:-)

What is your definition of "Stud" anyway? I'd like to compare it to that of the females that frequent this thread.

Goodmorning! alright, my curiousity was up, so I read everything from yesterday.

When you say "stud", I personally think "well to do"

So men, (who are in this "elite" club) ---- BE PREPARED to prove your worthiness to the cause.

NOTE: if I were not already married I would love to be your mascot. :)

I am looking for the man who wrote the last Treasure Hunt guide book. I want to get an autographed copy for my St. Paul book collection. Does anyone know his name and phone number? I know Derick Davis is working on a book for next year but I do not know if this is the same person from last years book. any help?

Hmmm, isn't a stud a piece of wood?

hehe

By the way, where did nosnowflake go? We never did get together for that lunch.

Oh, and I always thought Scribe was pretty studly.

As for this Fitger's Hunt, is it a scavenger hunt for things at Fitger's? Or things around town? I can't believe its the same sort of hunt as in previous years if they're starting on Wednesday. Nor would such a hunt have any reason for putting the clues online. Of course the people who run the Fitger's Hunt never did seem to like giving out even basic information on their hunt.

Tim proposes:

A thought occured to me yesterday, I should make a elite group of diggers, and then give them a name.

Ok, could be fun.

My group will be called the Snow Studs.

A bit on the pretentious side but at least it has alliteration.

And it will consist of only the best of the best.

As defined by.....? And of course that's assuming the best of the best even want to be part of this group.

If you have found any sticks or any boxes, this does NOT help your resume, because sticks and boxes are easy to find.

How about fish?

Unless they have the medallion in them of course.

How about two pennies taped together?

Thu, 02/15/2001 - 10:52 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

Wait, maybe I'm confused. Are the Snow Studs guys who look for the medallion, or is it guys who just pretend to look for the medallion as an excuse to meet women, because then Kids and I would probably qualify.

The scavenger hunt thingie I posted about, was from the woman who is apparently running the hunt this year, she asaid that we'll have to collect things from the various places i.e. (a receipt from one store, or this that and the other thing, or whatnot) it sounds like a lot lss fun then the Goat Hunt. I did ask her to fax me a copy of the clue list on Wednesday though. I will post the clues here if people would like. My crew will be arriving in Cloquet Friday night, and will spend the night there. Saturday we'll be staying at the Fitger's hotel.

tim_the_hunter

How about fish?

The fish was just a weird story I had to tell, I did not claim it to make me better than anyone.

how about 2 pennies taped together?

8 pennies!!!! 8 pennies!!!! Get it right. Anyway, I dont hafta prove my worthiness cause I created the group.

And finally, I just think that it'd be cool to name a group of ELITE diggers. Best of the best, if I may. Oh, and by the way, I didn't mean to hurt anyones feelings, I just threw that out there.

Thu, 02/15/2001 - 2:46 PM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

Just giving you a hard time Tim. Someone has to save you from the "know-it-all" years. hehe

Although in all honesty, it seems to me a group of elite diggers would be defined by their success. Otherwise you'd just be good diggers.

What would be a mascot for "Snow Studs"?

Thu, 02/15/2001 - 8:32 PM Permalink
ThoseMedallingKids

Hey, I don't use this as an excuse to meet women! If I had, I would have had a Valentine yesterday. And if the "Snow Studs" were the best of the best, wouldn't it consist of previous winners? As for our mascot, I say we use Groundskeeper Willy from The Simpsons. You know, when he's oiled up and bare-chested when there's a hole to be dug...

Thu, 02/15/2001 - 9:15 PM Permalink
tim_the_hunter

You bring up good points, kids and allison. We shall be called "Snow Studs- best of the worst". And we dont need a mascot persay, maybe just an inspirational sort, that makes sure we keep up the digging. Green did this job for a good deal of time this year. As for getting past winners, maybe Jake'll get some people to join. I dunno, I just wanta get some t-shirts. Not an organization. And allison, I do know it all!

The Mock Hunt starts this Sunday at 7PM. And I think I've finally decided on the prize. Four tickets to see the St. Paul Saints. I have to buy tickets for my Mason lodge anyway so why not get a few more? If anyone out there is thinking they don't like baseball, then you probably haven't been to a Saints game. Its not about sports, its about entertainment!

Clue # 1 comes out Sunday at 7PM. Additional clues will follow each night at 7PM. If the treasure is not found within 24 hours of the final clue, I will laugh, and laugh. But I don't think that will happen so lets not worry about it. The treasure is not a coin, but a small wooden chest. It will be under some snow, but the clues, if you read them right, will tell you *precisely* where to look so you shouldn't have to dig much if you're clever. Inside the chest there will be instructions on how to claim the prize. The treasure will be on public property. Use of the word "park" could refer to a park, a rec center, or any patch of land that seems rather park-like. It will not however be on a golf course or anywhere else you really shouldn't be going. Nor will it be indoors. All clues will be posted here, on my website and by email to my club members. Good luck and I hope everyone has fun with it.

Looking forward to Sunday's clue AW.

Scribe - There seems to be many Victor's in the soaps. This Vic IS on DOOL. A side note is that he is Jennifer Aniston's real life dad. I work nights so what's a guy to do ;} - It's a rather sad situation.
