Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.
You're gonna feel REAL FUNNY when that hand as big as a ham clamps down on your left shoulder as you try to sneak away into the masses with The Med, and a deep, husky, mean-ish voice hoarsely whispers in your ear from a foot and a half over your head...
"I think you *better* come with *me*, Son,"
as the accoustics change to your rite and you feel the presence of yet another bemouth sliding up next to you, and your elbow taken into a vice-like grip...
see they's can only tracks what they's can sees. the puck goes in a nice wad of aluminum foil. it can't transmit. can't receive. problem solved.
of course there is the issue then of how you actually display the puck, since in order for this to continue to work the puck has to remain encased in its aluminum coffin.
Snot so, Ares. You furget The Spotters are WATCHING. They'll have *seen* who gets The Puck. The Spotters are kind'a KGB-ish... They'll follow and follow and follow; take names, stuff like that.
The SC is yust added protection; very rarely used and snot really needed.
I think that upgrade took place last year, Marley. Delta Six, or something like that...
I'm sure it did. Gee-EEE, no wonder The Med looked so new and fresh - no shovel marks on it - when Care-o-line flashed me The Med last year when I asked if I could just see it.
But Marley... The Clue Writer's only human (and last year *female*). They've got ideas, strategies, plans, tricks, etc. "If *I* were writing the clues this year, how could I best confuse people?"
I know you all think I'm absolutely outta my mind, but I really think all this "pre-pondering" helps.
Green,I agree! It helps us loosen our noodles, and hopefully helps the writer too. I think the clue writer is one of the biggest variables simply because she/he is human, like you said, with ideas, stratagies, and plans (and don't forget emotions)
Jakey's all convinced Ittiz gonna be in a heap o'mud'un leaves, what with no snow...
Good stinking on his part and I would tend to have to agree.
BUT...
Given *that* [no snow; blend it in], me being me, if *I* were running this show (yeah, yeah, yeah! I know you're all glad I'm not!) I'd hide the damn thing in the biggest hugest whitest thighy I could find because NOBUDDY would bee looking for that!!!
If it was me I'd have a couple things in mind, but wait til the last minute to decide based on the snow cover. Something soft and white or something rough and earth-tone
Like this
JOE!
Yes, we're all nutz: The 'Heads, MomPress, The Clue Writer(s), The Spotters, The Hider(s), all various and sundry Diggers.
And I don't plan for a minute to rectify MY craziness!!!
Nice "Joe!" there, Marley. Knew you were vulching for it...
Bet Ian gets it...
Ian is crazy. I've seen the certificate.
Marley's vulching for that 400 "Joe!"
Did not realize it till you said something, then i had to go for it.
Keep laughing, JT...

You'll sing a different tune THEN!
?What about the smart chip inside the coin?
For tracking jt
Marley, thass only activated if The Spotters get held up by the crowd.
They ain't used the SC in years.
LOL!
The plot thickens.
:-)

ROFLOL
Ares, As you know my home is entirely wrapped in aluminum foil.
I ALWAYS have aluminum foil on hand to stop the voices in my head.
This isn't an issue for me.

3M insiders tell of a new sc technology , one that goes beyond all known matter. Nothing can stop it , no one is safe.

Palomino Joe!!!
Park predictions ?
Capital mall
Hariet Island
Phalen (shhh they'll move it)
Battle Creek
You have my list marley. I want it back.
You'll find the coin in my pocket, along with that list.
B-DAY JOE
Highland
Hillcrest
Homecroft
Hayden Heights
Hazel
Highwood Hills
Battle Creek
Frost Lake
There is a lot of activity in the board!!! I got to catch up on my (slogging?) skills.
This is the joe I was waiting for green.
What's with all the H parks? Did you have a vision?
Smokin Joe
missed that one
No, Marley... No vision.......
Yust an idea. I was pretty surprised myself when I noticed all the "h's."
And most are Rec centers, too...
how can it be in a small park/rec center with this small amount of snow?
Because there *izz* a small amount o'snow.
Big, expansive clues initially; slowly narrowing down the park.
Remember Conway? Wasn't until like The Sixth Clue we figured out it was there...
18 days (17 1/2)
to train our brain
to strech our muscles
to begin the game
More like big expansive clues initially, slowly narrowing down the park, which is big.
If there was this amount of snow, and we knew it was at conway, it wouldn't last 24 hours.
Maybee... Maybee not.
The Capitol Mall's not all that big... Less snow than this that year.
It was found relatively early, before it was put back...
I think ittiz gonna be a small park and really hard clues. My take.
(Granted, ALL the clues are hard for me...)
JOE!!!
there's too many variables to rule out any parks.
So you see- right know we have only opinions and instincts, the real work can't start until the first clue comes out. But it's fun to speculate.
I hope ittiz in a small park.
I hope it goes atleast 10 days -its more fun that way. I didn't like the let down of Newell, things are just gearing up and bang it's over.
Huummm...
Maybee that's why it was Como last year.
If a big park, my best guess/hope/idea would then bee Battle Creek.
It all comes down to the clues, the clue writer, and a little luck
I think that I am going to find it either way.
Mmm I don't know about that...;)
But Marley... The Clue Writer's only human (and last year *female*). They've got ideas, strategies, plans, tricks, etc. "If *I* were writing the clues this year, how could I best confuse people?"

If not us, The Clue Writer! LOL!!!
The Clue Writer's thinking the same thing we are:
"Otay... Lettuce see... Not much snow... So, where's it gonna be? What izzit gonna be hidden in?"
But they're coming at it from the hiding side; us from the finding side.
But we're still still thinkin' the same thing!!!
Green,I agree! It helps us loosen our noodles, and hopefully helps the writer too. I think the clue writer is one of the biggest variables simply because she/he is human, like you said, with ideas, stratagies, and plans (and don't forget emotions)
IF you guys were/are the clue writer(s), what would you hide it in???
Like, here's a thought...
Jakey's all convinced Ittiz gonna be in a heap o'mud'un leaves, what with no snow...
Good stinking on his part and I would tend to have to agree.

Statues(also vandalism is a fear)
Trash cans(lets cross our fingers the clue writer has some foresight)
signs
water fountains
fences
statues
light posts
misc. buildings
big open spaces
