Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.
Hi all! Just checking in before checking out for the night.
I suspect that if Steve wants to sell more of those guides, he'll have them at the pre-dig gig. He has in the past. He'll usually autograph them for the buyer as well.
Slog? Bah, I am saving my slogging for the actual hunt. Even then I don't like to do it because I fear by the time I am done, everyone will have left. PLus sometimes people post faster that I slog.
I know what you mean, it took me atleast an hour yesterday to slog through everything since Friday. The total number of posts more than doubled from Thursday night to Saturday night.
Scribe i think me and my crew ran into you last year at como, who's your hunting bunch. It was over by the trolley in the "I think" west picnic grounds.
I'm testing a dance on tuesday.I went to Roseville for a late night public skate.I don't mind skating with the public it's not a problem...and it's cheap practice ice.So I get there and I'm the only one that shows up for public skate tonight, great! I get the rink to myself! Oh NO! The kids that work there come out with sticks and pucks. Now I have made deals with hockey players before,I get 1/2 the rink and they get 1/2 and as long as the pucks and sticks stay on their side I'm fine......but not tonight! I was dodging pucks all over the place! By rights this was public skating,no pucks and sticks allowed and I payed my money....these kids WORKED there....so instead of kicking their butts or their cars...I left after I TRIED to practice for 45 minutes........
Right now i'm in vegas, stuck because the car we road tripped out here in broke down and it's in the shop. My partner in the hunt moved out here to vegas so he won't be with me this year.
Hey Scribe hows it going? I was talking to you before. The nice thing about the hunt this year is that there is no snow on the ground. Meaning they will hide it inside of something. If I can recall the last two times there was no snow they hid it in clay with grass ontop of it. Hmmmmmmm. Im lookin at the 15 day forecast and no snow in sight. Phalen or Hidden Falls/Crosby maybe Harriet Island but its under some reconstruction.
oh man, i go away for one day to go downhill skiing for the first time, and theirs over a 1000 new posts. im giving up on being "with it". anywho,,, so ill be here in my bell bottom jeans and LA gear light up shoes watching my black and white tv waiting to hope in my autocarrage to search for the medallion, oh and to wet my lips (like rain on seattle) and mcgoverns of course
Hi all, my favorite hunt was Newell because I was there on the 3rd or 4th clue. But of course, I doubted myself and only came back when the rest of the world was also there.
The more the merrier to dig with us - lots more fun that way!
Because she gets cold a lot of times. Thought it would be nice to keep her warm, to have something I put a lot of time and effort into. Something that could last a long time for us :)
Possible parks the medallion could be hidden in for the 2002 hunt in alphabetical order: Arlington-Arkwright,Belvedere,Battle Creek,Burns Ave,Cayuga,College,Conway,Daytons Bluff,Dunning(my personal favorite from last year),Eastview,Weida,Frost Lake,Griggs,Hamline,Hazel,Hillcrest,Horton(hears a Who),Highland(not the golf course of course),Irvine,Jimmy Lee,Langford,Linwood(another park I just love to dig up for the sheer fun of it..)Margaret,Marydale,Mears(where I used to hang with punk rockers in the eighties...Hey Huggie wherever you are!),Mounds(a favorite candy bar when I don't feel like a nut),North Dale,Orchard,Prosperity(always thought it'd be cool to find some cash in a park with this name..),Phalen(I hate this park!),Scheffer,So.St.Anthony,Swede Hollow (Steve was right,it has never been found here but I have dug here on many clueless occasions..),Valley(Allison and I scoped this one last year..),Wilder

Does anyone know if Steve will be selling the Guide at the pre-dig gig?
Palindrome Joe!

I am hitting the sheets here too. SCD's to all
I know what you mean, it took me atleast an hour yesterday to slog through everything since Friday. The total number of posts more than doubled from Thursday night to Saturday night.

Yeah there's alot of waste posts like T H I S where they make each letter a post thats what makes it hard to keep up
I hate hockey players.
Oh and by the way.....Hi Ian!
Bob? Is that you?
SCD Terry and Tim. Welcome back Scribe. Why the despise for hockey players? Getting in the way of your skating?
Scribe i think me and my crew ran into you last year at como, who's your hunting bunch. It was over by the trolley in the "I think" west picnic grounds.
Okay here's my rant:
I'm testing a dance on tuesday.I went to Roseville for a late night public skate.I don't mind skating with the public it's not a problem...and it's cheap practice ice.So I get there and I'm the only one that shows up for public skate tonight, great! By rights this was public skating,no pucks and sticks allowed and I payed my money....these kids WORKED there....so instead of kicking their butts or their cars...I left after I TRIED to practice for 45 minutes........
There I'm fine now.
Suspect,we were there,I was diggin with Kids,my husband(THX),Leelabell and her husband also was with Jake,Steve,Timmers and Winger for a spell.....
Scribe, talk to the management there about it. You shouldn't have to put up with stuff like that.
Yeah, I talked with you guys for a few mins. We're a semi-young group of guys. i think there was 7 of us, we were right next to you for a while.
Oh,don't worry Kids,I have credentials and friends in the skating realm....:)
I remember you suspect! You guys should dig with us again!:)
Bob's not here.
Bob who?
Hey,where did my Splitting friend go to?:)
Right now i'm in vegas, stuck because the car we road tripped out here in broke down and it's in the shop. My partner in the hunt moved out here to vegas so he won't be with me this year.
Suspect,You gonna get home in time for the pre-dig gig?
Stuck in Vegas,I love that movie!:)
I'm gonna be hunting with an old baseball coach that saw the lady find it last year and a few other guys from last years hunt.
Yeah i should be outta here soon, i gotta get back to college here soon. i'm gonna miss out on the first 2 days of school because i'm stuck here.
I'm gonna try to hit up the pre-gig if i don't gotta work
oh man, i go away for one day to go downhill skiing for the first time, and theirs over a 1000 new posts. im giving up on being "with it". anywho,,, so ill be here in my bell bottom jeans and LA gear light up shoes watching my black and white tv waiting to hope in my autocarrage to search for the medallion, oh and to wet my lips (like rain on seattle) and mcgoverns of course
Jesus, I like
I don't know about Crosby though.....
Hey Winger!
"in my bell bottom jeans"
Are they fire proof?:)
Hey j.c.,Como's not under construction...
Scribe are you saying they'd put it at como?Again
Suspect,I'm sayin that anything is possible and we just never know.
True, True, but i would eat my shoe if they put it out there again...
At least this year.
Hi all, my favorite hunt was Newell because I was there on the 3rd or 4th clue. But of course, I doubted myself and only came back when the rest of the world was also there.
The more the merrier to dig with us - lots more fun that way!
I got a digital camera for Xmas this year - I should prolly bring it - what do you think?
Do it Leela. I'm going to bring a camera, and Tim was talking about bringing one. The more the merrier?
Some messages back folks were talking like they needed digging partners - I say, the more the merrier.
Now, about your desire to make a quilt, TMK - why a quilt?
Because she gets cold a lot of times. Thought it would be nice to keep her warm, to have something I put a lot of time and effort into. Something that could last a long time for us :)
Sounds serious - where does she live? Can she dig with us?
Are you thinking of sewing together quilt squares? You could take a crocheting class and crochet the blanket.
Scribe Theory number One for 2002

She lives in SD, so no helping us dig. I have a book, and yes it would involve sewing quilting squares together.
Umm,Kids,YOU"RE suppose to keep her warm!!!Sheeesh!
I can't if she's in SD! I hardly get to see her enough as it is!
