I know it's over on the bluff side somewhere. I'll check across from the swingset and down by Annapolis. If you see me looking lost, come get me! I'm sure I'll be hungry.

Hey I,m home from one job, unfortunately I have to be to another at 6 tonight until 11, so I probably wont be back out till midnight, if it's still there. Aint getting much sleep these days. Can anyone clue me in on the latest in ideas? I don't want to scan back 200 messages to figure it out. Not that I'm lazy mind you, just that I need to save the energy I have for the physical hunt, not the verbal one.

Can anyone help me out here? First I thought it was at Mounds Park, then at CP, then at Mounds again and now back at CP! WHERE IS IT?!?!?

Tue, 02/03/1998 - 5:06 PM Permalink
ShovelMaster

Its at CP, but nobody knows where. And the problem may be related to hard snow caused by diggers and also the nasty tire tracks left by the large tree cutting trucks. Who knows if it can be reached with anything less than an earth-mover.

Anyone catch the guys out there last night before 11:00 that thought it was "OK" to just go ahead and light a bonfire in the fountain at CP? And anyone got any of the new ideas they could post I would appreciate it. I havent been on since about 6am today.

Someone started a bonfire there last night?!?! Gee's...some people!! Hey, does anyone understand what today's clue meant or was trying to say because I have absolutely no CLUE what it's supposed to be saying or where it's pointing to. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!

alas! the voice of reason has arrived. Many of you have figured this clue out already. Many have not. Cape and a Whip, many of you are thinking "what the dilly-o is that all about!"

This I say!

Cape and Whip are two words that are really one! Tis true, the words are seperated and the letters are discombobulated! But if you glue them together and rearrange the letters like furniture in the living room. You have the word "Chippewa"

Are you sure it was THE medallian?

Shovelboy, there really hasn't been any new news. Everyone agrees with the the cape and whip thing that it's near chippewa. However, greenslvs mentioned that on top of the capital roof is a man with a cape and whip. The tip part of clue 10 is to not dress like him!

Vega: I must say that that, indeed, does make a lot of sence, BUT -- there was some guy that was looking at the clues and somehow figured that if you take certin letters out of certin words, you got the words EARL STREET. Now that one I didn't believe at all, I'm just trying to make sure that this isn't one of those types of things where someone is breaking this up way too much. (P.S. I like your word - "discombobulated." Cool word!!)

When you say CP are you saying Cherokee Park Or Capital Park Which is it?

Tue, 02/03/1998 - 5:22 PM Permalink

We're talking about cherokee park.

tis true!

When the head of the committee clue came out, I instantly thought of the Warren commission of the Kennedy Assasination. Warren's first name I thought to be Earl, the very same street in Mounds.

I see we have a Howard Stern Fan and a Kevin Smith fan here, cool. What is the newest distinguishing attire? Like I said I will probably be there after midnight if it's still around. I wear a leather biker jacket with the white logo for Combustible Edison on the back and Soul Coughing on the right sleeve. So if you see me, say hi. I'm not the guy in my picture. I like the capitol clue about the statue on the roof, and the Chippewa clue.. But one other I came up with last night is really hip=cool+whip=Cool Whip, like maybe the medallion is in a Cool Whip container. This is about the time they start telling us what it's in.

ya Soul Coughing. I've always been a big fan. Was introduced to them by the gone but never forgotten REV105.

I liked PUlp better, just because there was more humor, I liked Reservoir Dogs much better than Jacke Brown, which I thought was a very ordinary movie.

Well everybody, I've got to get going now. If you come up with any other ideas on where it is, just say so and I'll check out everyone's thoughts later! SEE Y'ALL LATER!!! BYE BYE NOW!!!

I agree on the Quentin Tarantino analysis, I should have mentioned that Pulp Fiction is on my left sleeve and Soul Coughing on my right, oh well... Whoever asked why we think its Cherokee, you should take the clues and go to Cherokee. The streets match, the 3 pyramids are there, to and fro is there, the plume of smoke. Head of a commitee is a chair and to unlock a door you need a key;hence, Chair-O-Key or Cherokee....and many other reasons which place the valuable prize definitely without doubt in Cherokee....It's just that Cherokee is a big park and the snow is so screwed up there, we can't find it.

Is everyone watching the news or what? Where is everyone?

I can't say one way or the other between the two. However, Jackie Brown was a disappointment. Atleast Oake is back on the air.

Yes I went to 2 of the 4 shows they had last time they were in town. and 2 before that, 1 before that and I originally seen them at CedarFest on the Rev stage. Out of all of the concerts I've seen, I enjoy theirs the best. Nuff about that though. Any other new stuff? I want to go to CP tonight and if the new clue tonight gives anything good, I will. I want to see all the cooler people too, but I fealt that despite the excitement and fun of being a part of it, you almost need dynamite to break through that snow.

Hey everyone! I have a rule question for you: Is there any reason why they wouldn't bury it in the woods? I'm just wondering if it would be a waste of time (or illegal) for us to dig there.

I wish I could stay longer and chat, but the other place of employment beckons me. I need to be there at 6. Forunately I will probably be able to chat from there, at least a little bit now and then. I will talk to you later and hopefully see you tonight. Good Luck cooler crew. As of 4:30, the baby hadn't been found, so there is hope. Thats from the Pioneer themselves, in case anyones wondering.

Bye for now.
