I hate to give away my ideas but i feel you may need some help.
It is my belief that todays clue was referring to what the medallion is hidden in. I believe it's hidden in a cool whip container.
whip + hip(cool) = coolwhip.
and the reference to cape. well i'm listening if anyone has any ideas.

If there are people at CP who are just digging to be digging, how did they know to go there?
I've talked to people who aren't really into the whole hunt thing and they think its at Mounds- go figure.
Are these people that desperate that they will just dig anywhere? Do they even know what they are looking for?
