I made it to Newell like the morning it was found. Didn't get a chance to dig, just scoped things out. Then later it was found. Don't think that will be happening to me any more though....

I've been here in the cooler for 4 years now, under the aliases listed below my name (anyone remember posts from them?)but haven't really associated with the people outside of the message board. So if I show up Saturday at McGoverns with a couple cooler heads like myslef, that havent really socialized, but post somewhat frequently, what can we expect? Pretty open atmosphere, couple cliques here and there? family feel? Just thought i would ask so i know what im getting into there. No stranger getting into digging though, can't wait for this weekend/next week.
Last year was our first year to go, we found everybody to be pretty open and friendly. And it gives you a whole new perspective on people when you put a face with a name :j
Ian, hopefully if we open the windows and get some fresh air in here, the stench will be mostly gone by the time you return :).
M2K2 - the pre dig gig is open for ALL! It's a nice chance to meet other people who share the passion of the dig face to face.
I dreamt I was digging last night. I didn't recognize the park but I do remember it didn't have much of a playground and the kids were giving me a hard time about that. Hmmm.

Marley, Kal......just checked out your site again. The pictures are MUCH better. Give a real good overview of the parks. Have you thought about linking a map to the pictures? Just a thought.

For those of you who are gathering face to face for the first time, I believe you will find the crew in whole to be some of the nicest folks you'll ever want to meet. You will feel welcome and glad you came.

nah! I just learn to Ignore them, i have found if you don't respond and pretend that they are not there, then they usually just go away cuz it is'nt any fun for them if they can't get a rise out of you.

llady i just noticed your new tagline. i think i must reiterate this one rule for the board though: nothing shall be done to cause ares to expectorate his coke over his 'puter without giving at least 10 minutes warning. that stuff burns when it passes through the old sinuses. lol.
