Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.
Liquor Lady
Ya I know, I own 2 of them, one of wich is fat and fluffy and likes to make her bed inbetween me and hubby at night to make sure no funny stuff goes on! LOL!
How is everyone doing on this fine morning? It is sure wonderful to see the snow falling again. Not very heavy today however but it is nice to see a bit more ground cover...
Marley King- I was just looking at your web site, it looks good! I was wondering if you could tell me where Hillcrest is. I know it's at Hoyt Ave and German St, but compared to Phalen which way?
look at it this way phillip, if you get a dusting of snow every nite, eventually it all adds up to quite a bit of snow. until spring, when it all melts.
Maybe that's why I can' find it! I live right down the street from Case & Duluth and thought I knew my neighborhood better. I was slogging through some of lastnights posts and thought I add there is construction at Phalen to. I think it should be done when the 'Phalen Corridor' is complete. That would a more idea year for the medallion to be hid there. (This may justbe my wishful thinking, really don't wan to dig up Phalen!)
Snow, Nope, they don't have the balls to show up! However I'd personally love it if they did!!
Everyone that will show their face and come clean in honesty with their real name and screen name shows up.There is a possibility these morons show up but don't really converse with the rest of us or just plain flat out lie about who they are.Either way they show by their own actions they have no charachter whatsoever and personally will never have anything but complete disrespect as human beings from me.
I was out there a lot this summer and there is a path behind it but I never walked the whole legnth of it. I was wonderig if anyone knew where it ended.
technically, scribe, there is at least one. and he's revered as a god for putting that book together. but he saw the light and moved to the right side of the river. :)
I knew a Mpls. individual and used to dig with her a while back....course she got into it by catching the fever from me and others...and she worked in St.Paul.
I was just curious if there are others influenced to dig although they are not party to St.Paul culture.
I can't get my out of townwer friends into it. I lived in Coon Rapids growing up and moved here about 6 years ago. They think I'm nts for getting so into it.
Family, my mom got into it from her parents and grandparents. Then my parents took me out to hunt. My first hunt memory is when I was seven wondering around an empty park looking under picnic tables and into garbage cans. After that my mom took me out for Hot Chocolate.
Oh. My Dad works for the railroad. No he said this is the first year he can remember them telling employees to be aware of people traffic around the tracks that have parks near them. They would NEVER hide it to close to the tracks, that's private property anyway. But I do think it shows how much attention the hunt gets now.

well, I'm off, places to go, people to see and bills to pay! BBL!

east of it, mommy. towards white bear ave.
From last nights posts it appears they now let mental patients use the internet.
Mornin' Sam
Is it east of Prosperity? Are all the parks you photoed on 1/12/02 from basically the same area?
This is a check.
My precious medallion. It is mine. shhhshhhh
oh god. not another lord of the rings reference. lol.
Yes all from that area that day.
Hillcrest knoll is between Frost lake park and Hayden Hieghts playground on Hoyt and Germain, east of Phalen. Not listed on map.

THX,did you mark some of those posts from last night? Hunts not even started and it's time to clean house!
Scribe, Ian's the sysop, not me.
:-)
Lookin at the other boards...the sysop's gonna be busy.....
Nothing new there.
Love the tagline! :-)
You guys who have been at the pre-dig or the re-hash bashes, do people like 'pennies' usually show up at these things?
Snow Mommy, all the people I have met at the pre-dig-gig have been good people.
Ares-is Case & Duluth in the book? I'll be getting a replacement at the pre-dig!
Same here! All way cooler people, did you say something about money?
Snow, Nope, they don't have the balls to show up! However I'd personally love it if they did!!

sure is, snow mommy. don't know which page cuz mine's conveniently at home.
Thanks THX. Seeing stuff like that on the board is rather annoying, I was thinking they need to find the "Mad at the World" board.
......Or "The complete and utter moron" board......

I was out there a lot this summer and there is a path behind it but I never walked the whole legnth of it. I was wonderig if anyone knew where it ended.
Just looking at my ref. library.
Duluth & Case rec center page 26 in the treasure hunters guide and picture #105 on treasurehunt.8m.
Thanks, but I don't have a book right now. Can you look and see if it says where that path leads?
the path is the vento trail. one end's at 7th and payne, the other's at johnson pkwy and maryland.
path leads to former train track trail
That's what I thought, Thanks for your help everyone!
I am curious..
Is there anyone from Minneapolis that participates in the St.Paul hunt?
snow mommy,
Do you think they post that warning every year.
technically, scribe, there is at least one. and he's revered as a god for putting that book together. but he saw the light and moved to the right side of the river. :)
Scribe- In the city of Minneapolis or a suburb of it?
In the city of Minneapolis or a suburb of it?
Is the river the dividing line? Or is Ramsey county?
Rushmore, either one! Anyone not living to the east!:)
Well, I live in Burnsville.
Well, I live in Burnsville.
I'd consider you an "Out of Towner". :-)
Hey now!! I've been hunting since I can remember.
I knew a Mpls. individual and used to dig with her a while back....course she got into it by catching the fever from me and others...and she worked in St.Paul.
I was just curious if there are others influenced to dig although they are not party to St.Paul culture.
Rushmore, how is it that you came to hunt?
Maureen, What warning?
I've been hunting since I can remember.
When you're old your memory isn't too long.
:-)

About the railroad, I thought you wrote that. I maybe wrong.
Family, my mom got into it from her parents and grandparents. Then my parents took me out to hunt. My first hunt memory is when I was seven wondering around an empty park looking under picnic tables and into garbage cans. After that my mom took me out for Hot Chocolate.
That's a great memory, Rushmore.
