Is that south and kind of east of Highland? I think that's a good idea...Crosby is just across the way a little further east.

Is everyone sure that they are right? I read something completely different into the clue from today. What if they don't point to Chippewa?

Hey there Sax, what a long journey this has been eh? For me all behind the computer except for 2 nights ago. But you have to agree clue 4 sounds more like just a DEMO of the real code.

I AGREE WITH SHOVEL BOY! I SEE ALL THESE PEOPLE WAITING

FOR DUMB LUCK PARCTICING THEIR SHOVELING TECHNIQUE. I

HAVE TO ADMIT THOUGH I AM ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE TO, AFTER

THE THE WAY IT WAS FOUND LAST YEAR AND THE CONDITION OF THE

PARK WHO CAN BLAME US.

I HAVE THIS WIERD FEELING THAT THE CLUE MASTER WILL THROUGH

US ANOTHER CURVE BALL AND RECOMMEND ANOTHER PARK INSTEAD OF

NAROWWING THE AREA. I DO BELIEVE THIS IS UNHEARD OF BUT THE

WAY CLUES ARE GOING WHO KNOWS.

I threw a lot of my maps away...or just misplaced them (no, not in this totally organized house!)...anyway I'm not sure if I have the energy to start over

Calm down Tomski. Its just frustrating that no one has found it and Cherokee is completely torn up

2000OR SO CLUES AGO WE LEARNED THAT THE BIG GREEN CHAIR WAS NOT IN A PARK.

Tue, 02/03/1998 - 10:29 PM Permalink
Dave

Hey shovelboy you dug the chair Sunday night? I was walking back at about 5:00 in the morning and saw the five of you all out there. Was it your friend that slipped and fell. Agree that chair is a real bitaaatch. Especially at the fore of the bridge.

Gray Beard,

When you get on here, read message #6298.

ShovelBoy - The green chair is in Peace Park. The park is not a true City park. It is there as a neighborhood park.

Just got back from CP. Planning on returning at 11:31. BTW, I ran into a cooler-phile at Chippewa and Annapolis with a dog and two pretty ladys. You got my name, but what was yours? Apparently your backdrop theory didn't pan out. ;) Good luck all!

MY GOD!!! I'm caught up!!! LOL!!! that only took two hours!!! LOL!!!

Not a MN native; lived here 12 +/- years. Never done this before. 42/F. Just happened to read a clue... when??? Can't even remember... was it last Wed? Tues? And the rat in the wheel hasn't stopped since. Been getting, at most, four hours sleep a nite; at the least two. This is so DAMN fun!! And like a lot of us, I've not accomplished squat at work the past two days (took last Thurs & Fri off; NEXT year will take *this* week off). I find myself sneaking into The Cooler to see what's going on. Don't post until late in the day as don't want a co-worker figuring out who I am!!!!

Now, gotta run for cigs!!!! I guess I won't be sleeping prior to the next clue... but I know that if I don't have smokes, I'll HAVE to sleep or go crazy!!!

Back in a few minutes, all!!! Try not to post too much so I can catch up quickly!!!!

LOL!!!!

It could just have double meaning Cher-Kee and the Chair is at the fore of the bridge before you get to Cherokee.

I was only at the green chairtill about 2:30am. right after the monday clue came out at 11:30 sunday. Just a thought that Cherokee thing seems more and more too easy doesn't it? I guessed Cherokee as soon as the High ground clue came out.. and so did many others....I have to run home now and await the next clue....look for me...Ill be at CP unless the clue tells me its in the dining room at Cosettas..then you can look for me there, tossing pizzas out of my way to find that bastard!

later, and good luck to you awesome cooler people!

Hmm, the chair isn't a St. Paul park, though.

Little less than one hour to go, I'll be out there sometime...

If anyone in the group finds it, we should make a bandanna with a logo like

or something. I'd buy one.

Ian: I'm fine with being stuck far away. I got my digs at Cherokee over the weekend. My friends are continuing the hunt for me and have promised to give solid updates tomorrow morning. They'll be wearing a little white tonight to mark them as Water Cooler Crew members.

Not bad, Matt. I lose track of what we're calling ourselves from day to day. mr.tomski was pretty vehement about Water Cooler Crew earlier today. For those in the dark, I posted this message a while back based on a long-running conversation:

Proper "Water Cooler Crew" Attire (tentative): anything white

worn against anything dark -- something that is obviously not part of

the regular winter ensemble (e.g., bandana, tube sock, towel, t-shirt,

etc.). A white scarf will work, but it should be wrapped around arm

rather than face. Displaying your Cooler handle is encouraged. There are a lot of us and we may feel more comfortable approaching someone we've gotten to know here. Good luck all and share your shoveling space tonight. Water Cooler Heads Will Prevail -- unofficial motto of the Water Cooler Crew
