Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.
Good article alfabob. I drive by that italian restaurant all the time and keep meaning to stop in some day. Now I think I'll have to. There's also an excellent deli/liquor store on Payne called Morelli's, it's just up the block.
I am still here- I didn't think anyone wanted to listen any longer - they all disappeared. And my fingers are turning to ice-I need to go up for more coffee just to keep my fingers warm, I can hardly tyyyype. :)
maybe I should go put on my "huntin' gear". gonna go find me a hand warmer.
How long will the pre-dig gig go on tomorrow night? I have to work in the evening and might not get there 'til 11:30. Will there be any beer left then?
I think it goes til close--the clue comes out at 11-midnight so I expect people to go get the clue at the PP. thanks for the info from Boxmeyer -awsome stuff. your not bob alfeby are you-just a similarity.?
ok, I gotta go get those kids of mine but I will be back in 1/2 an hour--bye ----My fingers are too cold and I keep hitting the wrong buttons. I will be back though.
I walk along the river when the weather is good near the Marshall/Lake St. brige and now I always consider the puck could be there anywhere - it is mostly public land, right?
Hi everyone! Here's what I've been noodling on today. If we assume a new clue writer began in 1994, here's a breakdown of what he's been putting in each clue. Too bad I have to be out of town this weekend -- I'm anxious to hear the conclusions that can be drawn. I've got to noodle a little more myself. One thing immediately of note: every year since 95, Clue 3 has been only about landmarks.
Clue 1 Blanket: 01, 02, 99, 98, 97, 96, 94. Every year except 95. What it’s hidden in: 95 (yarn pouch)

Hi all; Interesting takes on MN history, esp. Phalen/Phelan and Swede Hollow. Me2, I also thought clues led to Swede Hollow a couple of years ago, so I found this report in Ma's archives. Check it out. http://www.pioneerplanet.com/search?NS-search-page=document&NS-rel-doc-name=/columnists/docs/BOXMEYER/docs/011313.htm&NS-query=swede+hollow&NS-search-type=NS-BOOLEAN-QUERY&NS-collectionPioneerPlanet&NS-docs-matched=20&NS-doc-number=1

What happened to everyone? Did I scare them away, or are you all still reading that Swede Hollow article? The postings are coming in slower now.

Time for me to limp outa here, too. Too much sitting, not enough exercising. Hope I can get limbered up enough for the hunt.

Minnesota history lesson alert! in 3....2....1....
St Paul had 3 state capitol bldgs. in its history ... 1853...1882...1905
1853 Wabasha & 10th St. burned in 1881
1882 I think at Wabasha between 4th & 5th
1905 current - designed by famous Cass Gilbert
AND....St. Peter, MN was the original city requested for the states capitol but we got lucky.
By the way, how do you insert a by-line below your log-in name/
Just checking...my husband went to school with the oldest Alfeby brother and I went to school with the youngest--big family in Como park.
go to your "preferences" and type it in the "2nd line" of info
Hi all- I just caught up from last night and now everyone is gone.
Got it. Thanks.
Hello, we are not all gone, but I will be in about 5 minutes.
They just pop in once in a while--it is slow--everyone is getting their affairs in order before tomarrow night. :)
Yep, volumes are down. I think everybody's digging through their attic looking for their hunt stuff...
I gotta run. One last check-in at AW's site, then off to see the world.

I'll say a prayer for you on it! Nuttin wrong wit underbidding...:)
Back to the hunt- Please don't let it be in Phalen. I don't know that park at all.
I have been thinking about all the public land along the river north of Hidden Falls. It could be anywhere.
We are bidding on a house in St. Paul today.
Good luck Leelabell! Great time for interest rates!
::Crosses fingers for leelabell::
Hey Bob,you an archeologist or sumthin?
I walk along the river when the weather is good near the Marshall/Lake St. brige and now I always consider the puck could be there anywhere - it is mostly public land, right?
