2002 Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt

Submitted by Casey Trauer on

Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.

Hey everyone! This is my first post here on the board. I had a blast meeting all of you at McGovern's last night. This was also the first room-temperature conversation I've had with Green. Green, you are the ultimate generator of good vibes and a true sense of fun. Digging in the snow wouldn't be nearly so fun without such a fun bunch of folks. I've run some test in the snow and am developing the MARK II piano wire probulator.

Why should we have had fear in the cluewriter's eyes?

(Far and wide take your hunt, have no fear)

I personally think the cluewriter lives in a fog of fear himself and therefore has superimposed this fear into the hunt hoping that it will be superimposed into all of us.

BEWARE OF FEAR!

Hey Marley! It was a pleasure chatting with you last night... I'm stuck in my tiny photo sudio all day - no chance to test the snow conditions. I'm building the new one with this idea in mind- the medallion was hidden BEFORE it snowed, and is resting on a solid surface. If the wire is too thin, I'm paranoid that I'll pierce the medallion container and move on...

Hmmmm,A very good point Kingers! The expression "Have no fear" is indeed a superhero expression. Can anyone think of a superhero park?

Suppose it is the same as the "man of mettle"! This guy is obsessed with comic books! Which then leads me to Belvedere Park!

O.K. - here's a theory - 'have no fear' and 'far & wide' could mean 'have no fear of flying (due to our terrorist attacks) and planes take you far & wide. Also The Rules state it will not be 'on Harriet Island', but it doesn't say it won't be in Lilydale-Harriet Island Regional Park but is that considered a St. Paul Park - since it's regional - and why else would they single out Harriet Island?
