Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.

Say Allison, funny you should bring that up about "brow", I've been contemplating about Hillcrest in the Highland area, that "brow" comment for "peak of a hill" a.k.a CREST...just supports the fact. Hill is obvious and there is a library on the property to "Work your brain" and a somehwat large hill leading up to the library to "work you legs"??? Do you read anything into this...I know it's still very early to narrow down parks? But am I sane to have this at the top of my list right now? Especially since there is only 2 clues out and I can't fathom that they would narrow it down so simply already. What do you think?
Then there's the minimalist explanation that knitting your brow and using your brain just refers to the general process of figuring out the clues and that having time to kill just means having time to participate in the hunt at all.
Alison, my thought, if you take off the first phrase, and read the rest sarcastically, it would be the opp. If the writer was sarcastically saying work your brain, your legs, it would be fun if you had the time to kill, saying it's a waste. Bottom line, still too early, but I do like Terry's connection to a peak thing with knit/brow. who knows!!
I was thinking about Hillcrest too as if this clue was trying to actually name a park, that would probably have to be the one. But two things work against that. 1) It would be highly unusual for them to allude to the name of the park so early, particularly a small park. 2) It would also be highly uncharacteristic of them to use even a part of the name directly in the clue (hill). I think if they meant to refer to hillcrest, they would have used an alternate word for hill as well as crest.
Let me introduce myself to the cooler gang. I'm the feared Night Digger. I carry a family curse that torments me each year at this time. My mother and her sister had the medallion in hand about twenty years ago. It had been badly burned, being near a fire pit. They discarded it and it turned out that the medallion had been blacken with tar and they had it. I think they didn't look close enough. It was near Midnight and the light was bad. They have never recovered from the incident and quit looking. I was a little boy and 20 years later I am force to walk the parks at night looking for it. I was scared for life emotionally. I work digging graves during the day and walk the parks at Midnight with chains of torment in search of the medallion. The only thing on earth that will release me from my family curse.
In the past it has been possible to search for all postings by a single users name, is that still possible? Am I just flat out dumb, or has that been taken off the site?
not that u care - but fyi - this is my 10 year anniversary in the hunt and a cooler head for 4 of them - I have been close several years now was one of the first @ newell in 2000 (damn) and love every minute of the hunt
Anyway, time for me to head out. Have some filming to do tonight and then I guess a few people are going to the PP for the clue and will be calling it in.
Alright all...I'll be back around 9PM...oops, I mean 11PM your time to noodle deep into the night about Clue #3. Good Luck and remember, when in the hunt...always BYOB
Well, I'm off for now. Any one wanna place bets on the big park tomorrow? BC, Mounds, Phalen? Highland, hidden, and crosby will be placed in the back of the minds of the entire cc tonight. It has happened for 4 years, what would make this year different? Check in with all later.
My mother and sister did spend 15 years looking until the incident I mention in my introduction. They were so hard core they even brought coffe cans to pee in so they wouldn't have to leave the park if no bathroom was available onsight. I been digging for 25 years. The last 15 years at night because of the family curse. The family curse story is true! but my occupation as a grave digger is part of my tormented imagination. I do most of my digging in the dark.

Regs why do you give me openings like this? Why?:)
CU Allison!
I believe they disabled the search function because it was too taxing on the system.
I feel dumb, because I have done it for 4 years, this year Ican't, and am frustrated!!!
Makes sense Allison. Any one heard from excavating stud yet this year?

Ian, I have been reading about this since I posted before. I want to try this - it sounds great.
Scribe, are you sure that post is appropriate? LOL
When are you gonna be out? You can use my GPS.
900 posts? what did i miss, anything good or new?
I don't know. We should talk some night at a park or at the rehash bash. Thanks for the offer. I would need a GPS since we don't have one.
Probably not lee,but I don't live in Euphoria or Diversityville so I think it's okay! I'm sure the enemy paper would delete that post immediately!
Timmers! You missed everything! We are all on our way to the park! Grab your shovel!!
