Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.

Answer to Highland Question!
Yes Both sides of Montreal Avenue... Water Tower Area is not considered park...Water works property...however it is a sliding hill and olf Course. -- Stay Away from the Golf Courses and Water Towers!
How about this to have no fear is to be fearless,Time to kill, Kill as in Battle (Fearless Battle) Tide as in water rises Creek rises when the snow melts. Battle Creek. Just diggen folks
I try to think simple when reading the clues as they usually don't put a lot of information in each clue. There's usually only 1 meaning for each clue. Here's my thought:
Clue 1: a park in St. Paul (not a St. Paul park - there is a difference)
Clue 2: inside a knitted cap and possibly inside a watch box or near something with a clock
Clue 3: Stay away from the hill and trees. Possibly leading to a street.
Has anyone brought up the fact that the clues are written in terrible meter?
Yes
Since the rules state it's not on Harriet Island, my thought is the Mississippi has to be in view of the park. Any thoughts on that?
I want to agree with you but, there's always people that will just start digging anywhere and everywhere. It could be a blanket warning, then maybe it isn't.
ID - I, as well, am not an English major. But I didn't know if anyone had tried rearanging the lines, without changing the meanings of the clues. Just so it reads a little easier.
Usually the item it is hidden in is mentioned very early in the clues (Clue #2 seems to be the lucky number). I also say that the sparks would be also the fireworks for the 4th of July. I think "time to kill" refers to the movie/novel as it was set in the state of Mississippi.

Area near Water Towers IS NOT GAME...Save you time on this one!
Past years they have had City Employees posted there to chase people away.
WHERE IS JAKE
Jake is "Out in the field".
How about this to have no fear is to be fearless,Time to kill, Kill as in Battle (Fearless Battle) Tide as in water rises Creek rises when the snow melts. Battle Creek. Just diggen folks
WHERE IN THE FIELD??
I like it, Dart.
Mississippi Rise when snow melts too...floods the lowland parks along te river
I tend to type too fast sometimes
WHERE IN THE FIELD??
Don't know. Could be anywhere.
THINK JAKE WILL EVER FIND IT??
Thats ok Carl I thought there for a min. you graduated from North St. Paul H/S
Nope...Highland :)
THINK JAKE WILL EVER FIND IT??
Well, his chances are as good as anyones I guess.
Show that carnival hunter's pride
Don't know how to sipher this one. I think "lion" as the thought of "pride" but the "carnival" throws me off.
I THINK HE'LL BE RIGHT NEXT TO THE GUY WHO FINDS IT AND THEN HE'LL GET ALL PISSED OFF
Could they just be meaning the winter carnival?
I put "time and Tide" into the old annagram thingy... = A Died Mitten Probably nothing, but you never know.
A Dyed mitten would correspond with the "knit" clue.

Clue 1: w/i City Limits...
Clue 2: There are hills...
Clue 3: Not on the Hill or In the Woods...Nowhere near the woods...Perhaps in an open area

MEARS PARK
Just a noodling thought... Perhaps in a Downtown Park!!!
Downtown St. Paul is "Down the Hill" from every part of St. Paul. And it is "Far from the woods"...
Hey THX, how are things? Going out to get the paper tonight?
Tell me more about Mears Park, please.
I don't think any clock has really been mentioned. But, I was tired of reading 1000 posts every day.
Hey THX, how are things? Going out to get the paper tonight?
Good! And you?
I dunno about tonight. I'd like to but, I only got 3 hours sleep last night. Had insomnia something horrible.
the only specific "clock" that's come up is the sundial down on harriet island.
TIME TO KILL: "LOWERTOWN CLOCK" kNIT YOUR BROWS: "KNITTING SHOP ON CORNER"
I just kept thinking about time and tide over and over - I slept horribly, too.
Snake, good noodling.
Thanks TD
I didn't see anything in the past 1000 or so, I am not going to dig any further.
I don't recall a knitting shop by Mears.
