Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.

Marie - I went out scoping things last night but haven't come up with much other than its not going to be BC....I'm really Leaning towards Mounds for lots of reasons...
I've got to go let my kids know their mom hasn't been sucked into the computer and still does exsist. (at least for cameo apperances during the hunt)ha ha ha. I gotta get them off to school, kindergarten and preschool. be back around 1:00. till then; happy noodling...
besides that my hubby just called and if hears me typing AGAIN, he's gonna wig out. ha ha
Mr. News is an ongoing problem. He seems to have been taken care of by now. However, when he pops up again(and he will) the best course of action is to ignore him. FWIW. Replying only encourages him.
Thanks marie for the 'echo' idea-I knew there was something with it-hey hey and ok ok-but just could not put my finger on it--echo sounds really goood!
Spark being Burns maybe but little early in the clues for a street...In and on the air holman feild (airplanes in the air and people talking on the air from the tower) ok thats all we'll say= maybe Ok over and out. No fear and killing reference Indians...just some thoughts for mounds
Good afternoon all I am sorry I am checking in late today had an early morning meeting. If you look back about 2500 posts or so you will see an entry by Terry V. long and in debth explaining why she liked Miriam park. I like the idea also another idea about "in and on the air" Frisbiys. (spelling I know it sucks) HIghland.. anyways.. I got to noodle some more see some of you are the PP tonight.
I think your right...at this point Mounds is a good candidate...I like it a bit better than Merriam Park (which I also think is a good fit) just becasue of the proximity to the river...
Although the spark=burns idea I think is probably to early...a street has only been given in Clue #1 like one time in 1993 (at least back through 1980) and that was a really vague reference to a street not something that literal...so I don't think it definitly means Mounds...
Has anyone thought of possibly the clues pointing to a new park in the city? The neighborhood I live in St Paul is the Highwood Hills neighborhood (very SE corner of city). "Down the hill, far from the woods" may be pointing to exactly that (high wooded hills). Also, a new city park was opened at the corner of Burlington and Springside Aves, added onto Taylor Park. It was largely sponsered by the Cargill and its subsidiary North Star Steel, for which a sign at the park states. " In and on the air" could be mentioning the North Star.

Ladies, you must must must get a Treasure Hunter's Guide -- it has maps, landmarks, streets, everyone you want for all St. Paul parks.
Carver's Cave - p. 56- "on the western side of the park, the paths continue on towards the scenic overlook near Carver's Cave."
