Do any of you know about the permanant big top (circus arena) they just built at Highland Park? It's right by the pool and the police station. I know Highland is not a favorite but....carnival hunter's pride: lion's pride. Lions are circus attractions. Just noodling.
Hello, Phalen sounding good. Just got off work & everyone thought fairgrounds. The gient slide, the radio and news booths, space needle, far from woods in city,spark fireworks,machinery hill,.. Is there a reason this is not being considered a possibility by anyone? Thought of swede hallow. There's a tower there too. But this summer it was so full of broken beer bottles I was scared to walk the dogs. Don't think they want people digging in glass.

we thought about the fairgrounds too right where you though of actually by where all the tv and radio stands are and on and in the air could be the sky ride but then some one said that the fair is privatly owned and heres something else the last time they hid it in the fair it was back in 67
didn't look for the radio tower when i was out at hf...didn't get a lot of time to look actually...what i thought was in and on the air were the balls that hang on the wires to warn airplanes...i agree that 'on the air' works well for a radio or tv station, but that doesn't help to really narrow down parks...
I at the top of the slide, way up in the air,so the T.stations can air,at the end of the shoot,far away from the trees,and near the state fair..... IS COMO PARK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the first snow slide i remember, scud was on cedar street downhill from the capitol. i remember buses having to be redirected around it before i discovered i could get to the u faster and pay less money in the process in my car.
ok but heres the deal -- falcon heights is in st paul (sub) right and whomever is writting this clue might have been trying to stump you. tecnically falcon heights is in st paul so if its in a park there its still a st paul park
no, falcon heights is a city in itself in the county of ramsey. which means that it qualifies as eligible for the sake of the rules. but. it is not st. paul. now as i said last nite, i could dig out all the legal mumbo-jumbo and point out why under the rules there are certain areas of the fairgrounds that are public even though they are privately owned, but last time i did that someone asked where i got my law degree from. and i just can't have that association with me :)
I'm back too. Merriam is a possibility. It is small, but not as small as St. Anthony or Desnoyer. Merriam at least has a hill. The thing that bothers me about all the small parks near KSTP is that with such little snow cover it will be found quickly if the clues get narrow soon.
LL, that just rules out zone 4 of Phalen. There's been talk of being able to see a tower of some sort from the north end of the lake. Also, the whole east side of the lake is park, but not shown in The Guide

Michael, no mention of a golf course would point toward a park with a golf course. Usually the clues tell us to stay away from golf...
can make cherokee work for all the clues except 'in and on the air'

I'm back! phalen is definatly out! rec center is under construction. and you can't see anything from the fire pit.
