Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.
Some Nother Guy
Another thing. If they are saying not to dig up the hillside could they be saying that the park will NOT have a hillside to dig up?
This is a list of parks people have mentioned that have a radio or tv tower you can see. Please add or comment on list: Phalen, Merrium, Battle Creek, Desnoyer, Langford, St. Anthony, Newell, Kellogg, Duluth & Case, Eileen Weida, Lawson & Rice, Indian Mounds, Swede Hallow...
How about rice, and mears parks I think you can see towers from there??
is there sledding at IM? all fit there for me and I still like BC also.... cherokee is on top of list also. IM 1st, cherokee 2nd BC 3rd. I think clue one only tells us to stay in a park in st. paul (nothing else) -- I can't place a year that it stated any thing else.
clue 2 states the obvious that there is only one correct hill to be searching at the bottom of......brows has a defintion of the projecting upper edge of a steep place. (www.dictionary.com)....more to come
CD actually one year clue one gave up a street name 93 maybe....But I agree if it does say anything but a St Paul park it will be extremely vague. I too am all for IM
that would have been me, shaggs. or at least that's how i see things.
it's real easy, steve. phalen is entirely run by st paul parks and rec. even the part that's in maplewood. so technically the maplewood half is fair game for the hunt. if they really wanted to trick us...
and ian, the accusation of a law degree was deleted. but the conversation started at message 18729 in last year's discussion.
Works the same for Battle Creek....I think that there would be some really angry hunters if the treasure was hidden beyond the city boundary. More power to you...get down there with your shovel, quick.
the difference there, steve, is that battle creek is not a st. paul park. it's a county park (the signs say whose parks and rec dept. run them), which by virtue of the wording of clue 1 may well exclude it.
Guide-you are so smart. Of course. Everyone, quick, go to the Maplewood side of Phalen, where the trees are. All the clues fit perfectly there. That is where the camera crews are. They know where it is. I'll see ya all there!!
Just did some scouting....Crosby;feels like a bad movie down there..not too many peeps. Hidden Falls;bring your kevlar vest...a few peeps...no one digging or looking...Battle Creek zone 3; Ghost town...Phalen; this could be it...at least a few more peeps looking...Highland Park; by far the most activity here...20 or sp peeps...I almost got hit by the frisbee of death tho, maybe thats relative to " have no fear"!!
next to the battle creek elem. school is ST. PAUL. treasure guide, are saying that it won't be there in your eyes? it's 3rd on my list not top but still could work with what you can see from there.
Another thing. If they are saying not to dig up the hillside could they be saying that the park will NOT have a hillside to dig up?
someone asked where i got my law degree from. and i just can't have that association with me :)
LOL LOL Ha HA
Light a spark........ The Flinstones movie was filmed partialy in the cave at Hill Crest
well I saw a tower of some sort but not really anything else, and that was down by maryland.
The new wellsfargo sign was recently lit in the air.
New Daddy still out there.
Hi,
No way to catch up today.
How about rice, and mears parks I think you can see towers from there??
is it ever on ball field?
Frostillicus...get the map out. Tell me if the east side of Phalen is in St. Paul or Maplewood?
is there sledding at IM? all fit there for me and I still like BC also.... cherokee is on top of list also. IM 1st, cherokee 2nd BC 3rd. I think clue one only tells us to stay in a park in st. paul (nothing else) -- I can't place a year that it stated any thing else.
Hi maureen, I've been thinking you are a smart lady...maybee tonight
I LIKE MEARS
While I agree that In and on the air is a refferance to T.V./ Radio shows it could also be in referance to a floating disk.... like in disk golf
Somebody said before (can't remember who) that even the part of Phalen in Maplewood is still a St. Paul park.
How could a Maplewood park be a St. Paul park?
Treasure Hunt,
St. Paul
Shaggy, here should be hear in your tag line
Treasure Hunt,
St. Paul
It's a St. Paul park... its just that part of it goes into Maplewood. There's nothing saying Phalen is a Maplewood park.
clue 2 states the obvious that there is only one correct hill to be searching at the bottom of......brows has a defintion of the projecting upper edge of a steep place. (www.dictionary.com)....more to come
CD actually one year clue one gave up a street name 93 maybe....But I agree if it does say anything but a St Paul park it will be extremely vague. I too am all for IM
The north quarter of Phalen Loch is Maplewood. Some nice wooded areas around there.
Time to shake some things up. If you can't find the med just keep noodling! Okay, here's one for ya
"in and on the air" throw it in the blender and you get
nir idaho "n" etna
Hey, Frost Rec Center is there!
This can be sooo much fun1
Does any one know when the last time it was at Battle Creek.
any thoughts about ball fields in the parks?? on or of limits?
Chris, I think that definition of brow means something too. Not sure what though.
the rules say public land in st paul, the medallion has been hidden at the fair twice , many many years ago, I think it is a good possibility
that would have been me, shaggs. or at least that's how i see things.
it's real easy, steve. phalen is entirely run by st paul parks and rec. even the part that's in maplewood. so technically the maplewood half is fair game for the hunt. if they really wanted to trick us...

Focus your hunting on the Maplewood portion of the park...good idea.
Damn, thanks for pointing that out in my tagline...
Hey Chris Digger. You the one we met the other night at the PP?
If so, howdy. If not, howdy.
Steve, do I have this correct, the puck will be in a ST PAUL park?
Isn't there a big hill on the Maplewood side of Phalen too? Maybe staying away from the woods refers to St. Paul itself.
Works the same for Battle Creek....I think that there would be some really angry hunters if the treasure was hidden beyond the city boundary. More power to you...get down there with your shovel, quick.
who ever asked about bb feilds as long as they are part of a st paul park they are fair game
Not to be to technical, Phalen is in St. Paul, however the Maplewood border is near. I use to work for St. Paul Parks.
the difference there, steve, is that battle creek is not a st. paul park. it's a county park (the signs say whose parks and rec dept. run them), which by virtue of the wording of clue 1 may well exclude it.

THX....yes. Resist the urge to go beyond the line.
So nobody liked my idea of "light a spark" being in ref. to a "flintstone"
OR
Stay away from a hill could mean a park with no hills
yep I was the one with the two kids. HI everyone again.
actually, guy, that there's a new idea.
oh lookie. a palinajoe and a full boat joe all at once.
Big Scream!!!! We're splitting hairs here!!
Ares,
BC playground is a St.Paul Park.
Randy could you see any radio towers at crosby??
which one Ares
from crosby...no...plenty of airport antenna radar towers tho
next to the battle creek elem. school is ST. PAUL. treasure guide, are saying that it won't be there in your eyes? it's 3rd on my list not top but still could work with what you can see from there.
