ya know green, the duality in yesterday's clue may be a double clue (would that surprise any of us???) in that it's pointing to something that shares a name with both a park and rec, and that they're doubling up last year's park.
While any Rec Center may be considered a park, there are several in the Guide listed only as Rec Center, which are actually called Park and Rec Centers and others that are just called Rec Centers...Palace is just Palace Rec Center...but Merriam Rec Center is actually Merriam Park and Rec Center...the Guide leaves the Park out of several that have it in their titles...
Could be...I live about 3 blks away...the clues fit if you go with really generic interpretations...hills, trees, open area, towers around, it is a park and rec...when I drove home yesterday I saw at least 3 guys out digging on the baseball field...
