Who's going to the TL parade tomorrow?

May be a slight change in our plans Sunday. Might be able to come for first hour. Fingers are crossed!

You all can do it without me. What the heck, why not make up your own?

Fri, 02/06/1998 - 10:41 PM Permalink
Terry

Big Red - You are underestimating the importance of your contribution.

Guys, we need to do the TL parade! It's at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Free Metro transit w/ winter carn button. Plus, I'm going to check on how we could be in it (even if we can't march by the car w/ winners)

Big Red

You guys take this WAY too seriously! : )

Ian, is your printer on and working... Mine's not as you know. I need a favor so that I'm not spending 65 gazillion hours at work tomorrow.

If you would/can, please print the following for me for Sunday:

7062, 7163, 7367, 7439, 7515, 7533,and RD's 7827. Too, Greg's said a thing or two since yesterday that may be nice to read; check them out and print if you think appropriate.

Additionally, slog and print all stories you can find about years ago and "I did this and was *this* close," etc.

THANK YOU!!!! :)

Cheryl... Why do I feel I've created a monster??? Why do I feel I'm going to be sitting out w/Joe Medallion???? Why am I thinking "green" is going to be the LEAST fav colour of the PP??????

But, Hay!! If you've bigger Medallions than I, then go for it!!!!! Man, *I'd* be one happy camper... (mumbling to self... "gotta find those white jenas....")

Fri, 02/06/1998 - 10:51 PM Permalink
Big Red

Ok, Ok! Thank you… but I really can't make it on Sunday. Thanks for offering!

Here's an idea: why not have Joe Medallion read it in my place? I thought he was Ok (sometimes).

I've a computer carrying thing at work... would carry that and a shovel over one shoulder...

This year may be too soon, C. Next year we could have our hats, shovels, and even have learned a formation!!!!

But... 1/2 of me says go for it in a motly sorta way... Don't know.

Oh, hell. A group is a group and no matter what could have fun. Good luck!!!

But NEXT year.... LOL!

Green, it's not a monster. It's a wuuunnnderful thing!:) Sides, no sense closing the door now, the Coolers are out of the barn.

Fri, 02/06/1998 - 11:04 PM Permalink
Cheryl Straight

Green, are you talking "high tech" wait in the car for the clues kinda thing?

Fri, 02/06/1998 - 11:05 PM Permalink
Terry

Greenslvs2 - If it's a monster - WOW what a FANTASTIC monster you're helping to create here.

Fri, 02/06/1998 - 11:07 PM Permalink
greensIvs2

Don't hold your breath, C. We're not messin' with the PP on the TLP business... That's the Association, or whatever. They may not be as receptive. Also, we DO NOT, IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM wanna bring a bad lite on the PP. Nope. Nada. Be careful..... We want to be respected... We don't want people running screaming into the nite at the mention of our name... PPMCC. And as long as that "PP" is in front... well... If we're gonna associate with them, we gotta toe the line(s).

But.... it NEVER hurts to try. Just be gracious... and say, "Well, thank you for listening to me."

(putting soap box away. getting hoarse.)

GRAET, JUST GREAT!!! With you guys as friends, I sure as hell need no enemies!!! LOL!!!

Really, serioulsy. Rome, I've heard, was not built in a day. Let us not push for too much too soon. This is only our inception. Come next year they may only be three, 12, five... or one of us to carry on. Let's give ourselves credibiltiy. If we have it, others will see it as well. With our PPMCC Chat Room, we'll be able to say in touch with each other, and Casey - or whomever - and will be able to present a cohesive, united front come next year. Let's not step too far this year only to make fools of ourselves next year. Let's be the new quality tradition we know we can be.

:)

G-I am gonna be able to come after all. Sloppers OK ?

Fri, 02/06/1998 - 11:21 PM Permalink
greensIvs2

Now... C, THAT'S an idea!!! We *could* do the volunteer bit in Cooler white, etc. You may have something there!!! We'd make our presence known, in an acceptable way, and get our name out there. Maybe. Then again, the announcers could just say something like, "Who are those weird people in white with PPMCC written everywhere and what does all that jibberish mean?"

BUT, even if they did, we'd still be on record, within the rules lines. Not such a bad thought there, kiddo.

Do they still need vols?

Fri, 02/06/1998 - 11:25 PM Permalink
greensIvs2

Ian, sloppers great!!!!! Can't wait to meet you!!! Glad you got your priorities straightend out!!!

Do we know what happened to the buttons? Will we have them for Sunday?

Fri, 02/06/1998 - 11:26 PM Permalink
greensIvs2

Don't know. Greg's doing his damndest... but a SNAFU or two came up, one of which was reality - work. Let's not press him. He's trying so hard, and even if we get the buttons post Bash, we'll still have the very first ever PPMCC buttons made.

Fri, 02/06/1998 - 11:29 PM Permalink
Terry

From the posts I saw there were a few glitches but I thought he had worked them out with your help. As long as I'm on the list for the button, I don't care if we don't get them until the 4th of July or in time for the hunt next year. It's amazing that he's even trying. And he is in Milwaukee!

If someone had predicted the PPMCC wear, buttons originating in Milwaukee, rehash bash at "11:30" no less, guest book, and reading of special postings a week ago, would anyone have believed it?

Casey, if you are still around: We need a few more days here, please!!

After Sunday, I think there will be a lot of memories spilled here. Great historical stuff.

Fri, 02/06/1998 - 11:38 PM Permalink
Terry

Ian - Casey said this would stay up until things slowed down quite a bit. No need to worry. The history will be here!

Fri, 02/06/1998 - 11:40 PM Permalink
Terry

Ian - I almost forgot, when things slow down, he'll put it in the old discussions file with other water cooler discussions.

Fri, 02/06/1998 - 11:42 PM Permalink
greensIvs2

Ter, but a week ago - would anybody have wanted to? Nope. And a week ago I wouldn't have said anything. Maybe I ought to say how this all came about.

greensIvs2

C, you on the phone or pissed cuz I just pulled out that soap box and did a waltz on it????? Don't be angry. Freedom of speech and all that, plus you've a great idea on the vols bit. I'd do it!

TL parade volunteer info....

Tuesday's PP Metro "..Organizers need about 60 volunteers (men and women) to carry large snowflakes and victory Vs in the parade, which starts at 6:30 p.m. Sat. Interested adults should gather at the Bremer Building, Seventh Place and Minnesota Street, between 4:30 and 5:30 that evening. For more info, call Roxanne Masanz at 770-7669."

Will try to call her tomorrow a.m. and see if she has received many inquiries. If they have all the people they need, great. If not, maybe the PPMCC can lend a hand to help????? Kind of give our support to other parts of the W.C.

Any thoughts??? Any one interested?

greenslvs- Do It! Post how this all came about. Then it could be added to Ian's "readings" list.

Ian - A Greg Saxx post #6645 about the locust stage of the hunt would be great to read for the bash!

Cheryl - fantastic idea! It would be great to befriend the rest of the WC. That would be building support for the logo-ed wear or other things yet to be thought of!

Alone in the bar again...Just got back from the Frog Pond, I don't think it's there. I've been aimlessly (sp?) wandering around STP parks this eve like a lost sheep, and the cops didn't like it. Is there a number I can call? Is there help? Will my company pay for it? I can't seem to get the guts up to tear down my blown up Hudson map copy from my office wall. There's a clue in my last sentance. That's it, see ya Sun AM.
