Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.

MEDALLIONATOR & FRIENDS WILL BE AT JOSEPHS BAR PRIOR TO CLUE RELEASE
OK ya all the fitst clue state's.....you can find it IN a st.paul (park)... I think i understand this..... the clue writer is just telling you that it in st. paul...and it just so happens that B.C is half in st.paul. and since half of B.C is in st paul and the other half is in maplewood that makes it clue #4 (FAIR)!!!!!!!!! Let me all know what you think of this...please
Hey why don't we all get drunk tonight and randomly pick a park (before spinning and pointing at the map with the parks)then ask a bum in that park if he knows where it is, then find it. And we will all split it up evenly. Then get drunk again. ...........THAT SOUNDS LIKE A PLAN.....YEAH!!
Joky, I'm trying to learn from my betters (one o'which is here rite now... :D) and do as they say. One big thing Terry's taught me is if it all doesn't fit, ittiz not the rite park.
And to not make too much o'stuff. This part I'm still having trouble with and keep doing it!
I think there's too many trees for it to be Newell, but there's lots o'stuff that does fit!
There actually is an area of Newell that has fewer trees. Behind the building there from the parking lot where that swing is, that area is fairly open.
green - i am with you on not reading too much into the clues.
That is what can get us in to trouble. I have noticed in the past that not all the lines will match the park. You have to pick and choose which ones are the right ones.
The Pioneer Press and Cub Foods will host three special events for participants in the Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt who gather at the newspaper’s downtown St. Paul headquarters to await publication of clues:
“Vulcan Night†– Saturday, Jan. 26: The Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt heats up with a visit from the Winter Carnival Vulcans. The hunt’s presenting sponsor – Cub Foods – and Hormel, also a Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt sponsor, will participate. KOOL 108 and the station’s KOOL KAT mascot will help host the event and prize drawings.
“Tropical Night†– Sunday, Jan. 27: Colorful leis and Hawaiian shirts will brighten the night in time for an appearance by the Winter Carnival Royal Family. The WLOL party van will pull up to help host the event and prize giveaways.
“Movie Night†– Tuesday, Jan. 29: The Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt goes Hollywood with Marcus Theatres and K102. Treasure hunters can watch movie trailers, munch popcorn and win theater tickets, posters and other prizes. K102 will sponsor an appearance by the Rodeo Renegades danceline and a drawing for rodeo tickets.
Time: All events will be held from 11 p.m. until midnight. Events will take place, as scheduled, unless the medallion has been found. Call the Treasure Hunt Hot Line for the current status of the hunt at (651) 228-5547.
Place: Events will be held in the lobby of the Pioneer Press building at 345 Cedar St., downtown St. Paul.
yes llady i am. and sorry about making you change your tag line. scribe decided last nite that it was time to change. and i decided that if i didn't i'd probably get peta on my back.
lorenzsas, nothing special's going on down there tonite. just the usual pre-clue gathering.
Hi all. Any guess as to how they hid it when there wasn't much snow. I think this will be a key factor. I can't think where it could be in merrium if its there except in a snow bank. They same would hold true for other parks except in tall grasses in an undeveloped part of the park. What do you all think??
Jokysu - In my opinion - and lord knows I'm no expert - but all the clues will fit the park. It's just that our interpretation of the clues needs to fit those of the writer/hider.
That always leaves words like far and fair and woods and near, water and all like that open to what you think far, fair, woods, near, water, etc. is meaning to the clue writer.
do us one favor, shaggs. edit your post so that its perfectly clear that that's not the actual clue. other than that. it's a hell of a lot better than what's been coming out of the press!
Terry - all clues will fit, but not necessarily every line I wouldn't think. At least from my limited experience with this hunt. Some lines look important, but it was the other lines that mattered.

I truly believe that given half a chance, we could make anything fit if it had a parking lot and trees.
We need more definative clues.
How about Homonyms for some of the words? Like Wreck and Rec, etc
No need for shovels... All our snow will be gone. I love it,love it, love it.
its in a park in view of radio towers come on poeple this is elementary
The Medallian Hunter heres a tip, don't worry about him

msn finally kicked me off! I had to sign up w/new ISP! thank god I had a freebie sittin around the house!
They didn't say how far from the trees, and maybe that was to mislead us. make us think it is a bigger park.
Far - is in the eye of the beholder I would think, but then again, I have never been to Newell, so I am no expert.
I think the CAMO CRUE might be spotters!Don't you? I think Terry Camo likes to "noodle" in the parks late at night.
Please, does anybody here know what goes on (if anything)down at the PP tonight?
WOODS, COULD BE GOLF CLUBS. IS GOLF COURSE IN COMO????

Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think if you don't have anything to say about the HUNT then you don't belong!!!!
2K2, we stand around in the cold, BS, talk clues/The Hunt, get to know each udder, discuss stratigies, parks, etc.
Then they let us in MomPress and we file in and buy papers. We hang around inside, noodling, then go outside and noodle some more.
Some go home and slog here, some go out to hunt/dig, some go eat, some go get drunk.
do us one favor, shaggs. edit your post so that its perfectly clear that that's not the actual clue. other than that. it's a hell of a lot better than what's been coming out of the press!

who knows? Where is that darn #6.
New Daddy like the thought... that is what I have been thinking also.
