Riches that are almost immeasurable means THE MEDALLION!!! It's worth

$4000 bucks. You guys are really over analyzing :)

Prospect Park not Prosperity Park. They are 2 different parks. Anybody know if Prospect Park by Cherokee Park on the west side, has any sliding hills? I'm stuck at work until after midnight. I'm putting on the miles tonight unless the clue proves obvious.

looking back at previous year's clues, we usually don't have half of the "solid" leads everyone has come up with here by clue #5. i'm not trying to knock this discussion, just trying to keep it in perspective.

Going through old clues shows that the words lode and measure

have been used before but have not been of any importance.

However; the word first has been used to refer to the 1st bank sign

twice, the year it was at Cherokee and the year it was at Harriet Island.

Mother Moco - I guess I would have to agree with the medallion being the immeasurable riches, but we are here to help add any ideas that might, just might, turn on a light bulb that helps all brainstorm a bit more. It bothers me that a lot of people are still on the 'Rosebud' clue thinking it has something to do with roses, but I still let them put their 2 cents in anyway. Do you know where to check for last years hunting discussion?

You know a few years ago when it was in Highland Park, they made a reference to "elevated terrain" to mean "High Land". Do you think they would use "high ground" in the same sense?

Thu, 01/29/1998 - 11:06 PM Permalink

"ROSEBUD" still could mean the rosebud pasta company in stpaul> it could be hidden in this container because it has a picture of a rosebud on it....or a rosebud shaped container.....

Hey this color stuff is fun while you wait for clues. Can anyone guess my graphic designing love has come home? (Hint: she is responsible for Clayland stuff, I'm more of a Newell Man). Highland is looking almost as good as Newell though. We took a tour of Rome and Montreal Avenues as well as walking under the twin domes of the water towers on the highest ground in St. Paul. Can't wait until 11:30.

Mother whatever your name is...So I'm not perfect ...God made me this way...I can't help myself someone as educated as yourself should have more sense than to make fun of someone who isn't the brightest bulb on the tree. Please excuse my presence from your "brain bowl" thought this was an "everyone" event???

Clue #4 mentions "mother load" as in minning or 3M, which points to Battle Creek. Lots of sleding at Battle Creek. You can see the corporate 3M sign from the park

I delivered papers up and down Rome and Montreal. 2 streets over is Beechwood (water and woods?). I don't think its in Highland, though.

Pat: Is there anything anywhere in Highland Park that there's so many of them it would be hard to count them?

I guess tonight's clue will determine which direction to point the car. I've subscribed to the Mounds theory, so somebody please tell me why I should stay away from there...

Hey Lori, find anything at your "sure thing"?

Rosebud may very well pertain to the container of the medallion, but if it's primary meaning is not 'sled' I'll eat every St. Paul paper printed in the last ten years with a clue on it. In Newell Park. (Actually, the Clue Master sounds like he has some pretty tasty paper.)

Grnsleeves, yes! The strokes on my scorecard every time I play the 18 Hole course. I am of the mind that immeasurable simply refers to the treasure.

I may never get anywhere near the treasure but I enjoy at least trying.

even though some clues match highland i still dont think its there. we were there and they are doing alot of cutting trees and branches down replacing stuff in the golf course and snowplowing roads through the snow for the workers if its there dig deep becuase its probably under what they have plowed!!!!

The Mother 'Lode' (I am the Mother Load) is also the treasure. It can be found in Newell before you'll find it at Battle Creek.

Just to confuse things a bit more, Arlington does run straight into Phalen. It hasn't been there in quite a while. "Woods and water" could always be referring to a golf course. On the other hand Lexington runs from Como to Highland. I sincerely doubt that anyone who works at Como Park would tolerate it being hidden there again after all the damage last year. Highland does have a very large water tower in view and plenty of hills as well as a golf course. As far as "demo and mode" I like the idea of it being a dome, but it could be hidden in a dome, or maybe even a souvenir cup from the Metrodome. The possibilities, unfortunately, are still endless.

I would be very disappointed if they were using the same reference to highland (the elevated terrain and high ground), so I tend to not believe it.

But Janet, that working in Highland might lend credence to a post some placed - it seems like years ago!!! - about how the Med seems to keep being found in a park where some type of work/grounds keeping is going on.
