Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.

sorry scribe, you missed jake. he's in and out as he pleases.
yes i did scribe. and it sounds remarkably familiar to some advice i was given about 6 months ago. but was too stupid to take. a reply back is in progress.
Ares,It is still not to late! Good grief if you can't do it in person then e-mail her or write her a letter! But when the "I do's" have been said.....then it's to late!
The phone here tonight won't be quiet! Seems everyone I've ever known is calling tonight. That happens all the time. Wish it would get scattered over several nights.
If the hunt had gone the full 12 clues, tomorrow would have been the final day of the hunt. No matter what happened, it would soon be over. Too bad we didn't get this far.
On the other hand, I'm not suffering from aching muscles this year.
Gee Ter! Iam always suffering from aching muscles!LOL! But this year since I went out to the parks so early it was different ones! Not sure why I was out so early in the hunt this year,I'm usually not out until the fifth clue or so.....something I learned from digging up Linwood all alone every year!:) But it seemed this year I had to get out! Wierd!
Scribe, I am not the social chair and I am not sure I want to go to Bugs Bar or whatever it is called. I think going to Wild Tymes either before or after or both is as good idea as any.
Hi Scribe - I just popped in here and there you are. Thanks for asking. The service thing is actually why I went back in here just now. First of all the boys at Amoco said that my ball-joints probably needed replacing anyway but didn't have the old ones to see how bad they actually were. I have about 40K on the car now. I really don't know what else to do other than spread the word. And I've been doing that quite a bit lately.
But the main reason why I'm on here now is to somehow redeem myself by grouping all garages into one category of bad service. I need to take that back with the experience I had today. Granted service stations are, by nature, not the best place to be in the first place (kind of like using a lawyer or doctor) where the service and cost is pretty much geared to unsatisfaction (word?). But there are exceptions to the rule as in any profession I guess.
I needed 2 front tires for my other car today. The old ones were bulged out so bad that I needed to take the back roads to get to Tire Plus in WSP. Other than the fact that they moved locations and didn't put any 'we moved' address on the old bldg, they were very good to me. From the greeter to the front desk clerk to the mechanic himself, they were all very friendly and informative. They performed all the required duties without a problem and within the time they said it would take. They even did 2 dismounts & remounts on my full-size spare because they noticed that one of my front wheels were bent. FOR FREE!!. It was ironic that I passed Precision Tune (another bad one) on my way to Tires Plus and they were virtually vacant while Tires Plus had this nice brand new large building full of customers. It was a sure sign of progress on the service side of the industry. Of course I talked with everybody in there about my experience yesterday and most said they already knew that about Amoco and of course Southview (if you're listening TV). I drove away with a smile on my face thinking about the service excellence class that I took that said a person would tell 10 other people about bad service whereas you would only tell 3 people if you had over-and-above service. Well you are my 3 people. Thanks for listening.
Here is a question for you - lots of people complain about Precision Tune and how awful they are. But, Paul Brand is their spokesperson and he raves about them. What gives?
We've used precision tune a couple of times...they actually found a problem that our regular service folks couldn't quite get a handle on once....but usually we get all our tune-ups done at one shop.
sorry scribe, you missed jake. he's in and out as he pleases.

Back again. Geez! Wonder how long this will last.
If the hunt had gone the full 12 clues, tomorrow would have been the final day of the hunt. No matter what happened, it would soon be over. Too bad we didn't get this far.
On the other hand, I'm not suffering from aching muscles this year.
But then again, I kinda miss that. Weird, right?

Hi Scribester
He should be the clue writer/hider!
Hey Lee!
So whats the plan for saturday? Before or after the parade or both? And where, what?
JAKE OUT THERE
Not sure why I was out so early in the hunt this year,I'm usually not out until the fifth clue or so
sure you're not :)
Good question, Scribe - Maybe AW has a more definite plan.
I agree Terry! I actually am thinking of e-mailing him and asking if the "Coolercrew" can become a legit part of Gumption County!
He should be the clue writer/hider!
maybe he was?
::bangin head on monitor::
LEE!
Evening folks
evenin' kids.
I don't think so Ares...he actually has a talent for writing and a good appreciation of St.Paul tradition.
Hey, TMK
Scribe, I am not the social chair and I am not sure I want to go to Bugs Bar or whatever it is called. I think going to Wild Tymes either before or after or both is as good idea as any.
Hi all - Hold on Scribe I'm gonna post my experiance from today. Not to bad all-in-all.
I vote Wild Tymes Too!!
It's my bar anyway. I'm working across the st. from there right now and going there in about an hour. :)
Yep, Scribe, he seems to be one of the only media type people who really appreciates the carnival for what it is.
That's what we need. Someone with a true understanding of the traditions here and the background knowledge to write meaningful clues.
Your not the social chair? Gawd did I miss a meeting?LOL!
How about the Buttery?
Don't know the Buttery, but I am sure it is fine.
Hey Kids! Can't wait Clueguy!
BUGGS BAR???????? YIKES!
Scribe - I just emailed you
Only problem with Wild Thymes is that they are so crowded and small...I like the place other than that.
K!

You asked.
Gotta Joe and didn't even know!
you've only got 40000 on the car, cm???? and your ball joints needed to be replaced?????
and, you got a nice Joe - great news, Clue
Here is a question for you - lots of people complain about Precision Tune and how awful they are. But, Paul Brand is their spokesperson and he raves about them. What gives?
Oh, and it just occured to me - if we keep ripping on business who advertise in the PP, they might yank this.
ClueMaster - Good for you! Easier on the BP when the service is what it should be.
We've used precision tune a couple of times...they actually found a problem that our regular service folks couldn't quite get a handle on once....but usually we get all our tune-ups done at one shop.
