well let's see. what have we learned tonite. the scsi adapter on the motherboard is not the cause of my problem as the disc is still unknown on another scsi adapter. my scsi cdrom drive sucks for booting off of. gonna have to dig out one of the old ide discs to see if the hard disc is the problem (that'll only cost me 380 bucks to replace cuz i don't wanna wait for ibm to replace it for me).
