Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.
well, I'm gonna leave you men to yourselves :) time to hit the hay! SCD'S & MCL! I will see whom ever is going to be at the parade at wild thymes tomorrow!
i'll be damned! it was the zip drive not having a disc in it that was causing all my headaches! i'm very much happy to not have to replace my hard disc!
here's something to ponder for anyone who's up at 3 or 4 this morning reading this:
I just made my first trip out to sam's club tonite, after getting a discount on membership through work. did anyone else know that you can buy dinty moore beef stew in gallon sized cans???? amazing.
I have a special announcement concerning the Mock Hunt.
The Medallionators have contributed $187 towards the prize for the Mock Hunt. Snake1988 gave $88 and Jake is giving $99 ('99 being his first year hunting). They do this to provide others with incentive to participate and as a challenge to all those that do that they believe they will win. So the gauntlet has been thrown down and we have a prize, or at least the beginning of one.
I'll throw in the extra $13 to make it an even $200. If anyone else would also like to contribute to the prize fund and make a statement of your confidence, feel free to do so. The bigger the prize, the more exciting the hunt and the more competition there will be. 100% of the money donated will be given to the winner. The Medallionators may be tossing in a few others perks as well. So the game is afoot and I will do everything possible to have it ready by February 17th. And since there will be a significant prize, this year's Mock Hunt will be conducted with the utmost fairness so don't even bother asking me for hints. :-)
hey artemis! you like tantric! did you know 93x is giving away tickets every hour on the hour for a private party at the quest? I'm tryin to win them, I almost had a pair last night, got through twice but no cigar! :( one of my miller drivers is gonna try to get me some, if I end up w/extras I'll let you know!

lm, i know. i just got frontpage working properly on my server a few weeks ago and haven't had a chance to drop in the webs that would normally be in those spots :)
and what happened with the 'puter is that i got past one roadblock only to come across another!
:-( sorry to hear that hope it goes more smoothly with this road block than the last..But I must say you have a very impressive web site and LOVING the COBRA!!!
I'm trying out your extractor program right now, Ahres.
Riddle me this. I just got a burner for Christmas this past year and am wondering. Why am I unable to directly convert from CD audio to MP3? Or is there a way and I'm just ignorant?
Also, when I try to burn a compilation from multiple CD's, it always ends up crashin' on me. It works fine if I copy a whole CD at a time but not if I try to copy from multiple CD's. What could I be doing wrong?
I haven't played around with it much so I'm still pretty ignorant.
Sorry, got distracted posting to my singles club. Yes, I think at this point we can say Wild Tymes at 3pm is official. The Medallionators are still hosting their event at Buggs. I went by there last night to get their donation and it was kind of your typical local bar type of thing. They did mention that there's a bus that goes right by it to downtown if anyone didn't want to have to worry about parking. But then again, their parking lot wasn't all that big.
thx it depends on what program you're using. i think most of the newer programs will directly rip to mp3. if not, well, that's what cd-da xtractor is for :)
as for compilations crashing, i make a habit of creating a cd image first and then burning from that.
i think most of the newer programs will directly rip to mp3.
That's what I thought. I'll have to play around with it more. I haven't ripped an MP3 in years so, I'm sure it's quite different. When I did it before I had to convert to a .WAV first then convert that to an MP3.
as for compilations crashing, i make a habit of creating a cd image first and then burning from that.
I believe I did that and it still crashed. I'll have to play with it more. I just haven't had the time yet.
wow Ian! I take it you don't have that one yet?
nope...I know the guy who listed it...he has quality stuff...this is really nice.
well, I'm gonna leave you men to yourselves :) time to hit the hay! SCD'S & MCL! I will see whom ever is going to be at the parade at wild thymes tomorrow!

Very close, TMK.
That's right. If you don't keep the woman of the house happy...ain't nobody happy!
Any married man knows this (as well as every woman). :-)
notice how keeping scribe happy is higher on the list than providing for the family!
LOL!
I'd say the list is part of a larger whole.
well i'm missing the cobra (and its only been a week since i last had her out :) i gotta replace the hoopty with something with a stick!
I'd say the list is part of a larger whole.
you mean there's more to it than that???????
