I remember the history of the Cooler Crew pretty much just as Terry described it. I remember Green as being very much wanted and quite invited to the new location, but she felt it would be violating some sense of loyalty to the Pioneer Press and wouldn't go. But the new forum was much like this one and compared to the stripped down, unresponsive (at the time) version at the PP, there didn't seem to be much reason to stay.

As for "stupid posts", I guess I'll say what I said before. If someone comes into the treasure hunt thread to specifically start discussing something other than treasure hunting while the hunt is going on, that would seem out of place. But at the same time, discussions that start on topic and flow into other subjects are fairly natural and part of what makes this a community and not just a collection of hunters.

Finally, I don't think you'll neccessarily see the volume of posts here during the hunt that you saw on the old site just because a lot of those posts came from people who didn't post a whole lot, but there were a lot of them, and I doubt you'll see them coming over here in large quantities. I think it's more likely you'll see whatever system they're using at that time taxed to it's limit.

Otherwise it looks like you guys have had the same sort of day I've had with my singles club.

Well, since our power was off, I slept from 6:00 to 11:00

I work 1:00am to 10;30 am

Yes, I was hoping for at least some snow. I think there's less snow on the ground now than there was before this snowstorm was supposed to have started Friday night.
