yes 2 people told me how to do it but i dont get it i type in the pic address want it doesnt up load it
It should be a picture that's saved on your hard drive, hit browse, go to the folder that has the picture you want, click on it, then click open. When you Hit Update Preferences, it should upload the picture. Hit OK, Should work.
and its got to be either a jpg or gif file.
I also have MSN but don't really connect thru MSN. I just dialup so to speak and don't use the MSN part of the service.
I went ahead and connected to MSN but I didn't get the same chat window as you did, I just got what I got last nite. But I use Netscape as my browser. My guess is that you use Internet Explorer and since you also have MSN it's doing something funky.
I'll try logging in under MSN using IE and see what happens.
I'm gonna download a newer version of IE and see what happens.

I installed it and I still see the same thing I saw last night. None of that MSN art in the chat room.
Go figure?
When I just logged in using IE, it showed no new messages here in this forum although there were new messages since I left.
How do I change font size in IE?

I've checked out the chatroom. Of course I was the only one there. I wonder how much that will get used. It's a fun toy at any rate.

If it stays as slow as it's been, I don't think people will be able to tolerate it.
It isn't so bad. I like the old PP better but, I would use it if they speed it up.

I'm an old Netscape user - until it hosed up on me and I converted to IE a few years back. I've gotten used to IE and now wouldn't go back to Netscape.
I'll rebel until I can't rebel no longer.

thx i figured out why the chatting might seem so slow. on my system having the chat room open, ie was using nearly all my cpu time. at least in applet mode it was.

Ian and THX- The Chat room thing is odd. I snag-ed the window I saw, then logged out here at the bottom and signed back in as Marley, went to the chat room again and it was dif. Snag-ed his window too so y'all wouldn't think I halucinated it! I don't think its the MSN or IE, but it might be something I checked in my preferences. I'm going to check that and brb.
Hmm.. I changed my chat preferences, but it didn't help, either way I choose its the same.
Its here, its me, any sugestions?

From the same computer/os/connection/browser-Marley and I get different screens that come up for the chat room-Marley gets the right one. There are links to each a few posts back. I thought it might be my chat preferences, but I tried changing it, but that wasn't it either- not sure what else it would be.
What are your chat settings set to? and do you have javascript disabled in your browser?
