Of course Como also has great sledding hills. But Phalen does not.

But early vote is Highland.

Lincoln was shot in Ford theatre.

I've been reading the clues from past years. Very often something in the first couple o'clues that seems to mean nothing, is xplained/validated in later clues...

Flying could also refer to the air traffic in the Highland area.

VERY GOOD QUESTION, Vicki!!!!

'mom'

Dad just reminded me of the old ski jump at Battle Creek. We are arguing terribly about which park to concentrate on. Neither of us thinks it will be at a park with a major event, i.e. Como snow slide (don't forget Phalen has the car races every year on the lake), we think it will be at a park without so much attention. But I lean toward Highland due to the golf course.

Golden Boy

It's NOT at Como, NOT Phalen, NOT Highland - RE: the reference to the golf course in Clue #1 - They wouldn't narrow the search to just three parks on the VERY FIRST CLUE. Part of the fun the PP has is sending us on a goose chase for the first few days. Don't take the ref to the Golf Course as truth, which is obviously bait for those not seasoned in reason.

It could be Battle Creek, the ski jump (ski "flying").

Birdie15

Might this clue have to do with what it is hidden in?

Sun, 01/24/1999 - 11:29 PM Permalink
MJ

That's what I said, sliding, thrill, attraction. Something tells me wether we like it or not, we're gonna have to crawl through all the people at Como to get at the sucker!!!

Sun, 01/24/1999 - 11:29 PM Permalink
Terry

I really think Phalen or Highland. Not bad actually this early to mostly narrow it down to two. Need to keep our minds open though. There may be other things coming that will eliminate or add other parks.

golden boy--what do you think the reference to the course means?

Sun, 01/24/1999 - 11:30 PM Permalink
MJ

But ittiz no longer an attraction no?

Sun, 01/24/1999 - 11:30 PM Permalink
Terry

Part of Battle Creek is in Maplewood. I wonder if they would risk that.

Sun, 01/24/1999 - 11:31 PM Permalink
Vicki Kasal

If the park is very large, they'd have to go fast.
