and frosti, 4 weeks later, i can still feel where my shoulder dug into the snow while doing such things as lifting weights.

what doesn't kill ya only makes you stronger. of course ibuprofen is my friend. the morning before i went skiing i put down 4. 4 more before i left, and spent the week after doped up on it!

um yeah, aw! i kid you not. i wasn't moving at all that weekend. i did manage to make it to the pity party there the day the puck was found though. wasn't in nearly as much pain then.

I think that was my problem too! I took a couple before going, 'cuz I had a headache. This masked the pain while boarding, so I kept at it not realizing I was hurting myself, until it was too late.

I've now got a mental picture of Allison pushing Ares around on a dolley, sort of like they did to Hannibal in Silence of the Lambs. Do we have a mask and straight jacket he can wear??

frosti, i double dose intentionally before doing anything like that! i've found that whatever aches come as part of the activity clear out a lot faster afterwards if i was doped up before hand. of course as you say, it does come with the added side effect that you don't know you're hurting yourself until its too late. of course that shoulder. wow. no amount of advil before hand coulda prevented that aching! i actually still feel it from time to time when i jar it say slipping on the ice or something. 4 weeks later and i'm still not completely healed up!
