anybody thinking conway still,I see Howard Court dead end, sunray, Scension Cemetery, close by,view of large water tower two glass pyramids in the THG ant thoughts???
I think Conway is as good as any. It's still on my list. Of course many parks are still on my list.
Having said that, there are three or four that are higher on my list than others. That would be Indian Mounds, Marydale and Conway. Others near the top are Palace - but only because of tonight's clue, Cayuga - because I liked the way it felt when I went scouting and Battle Creek.
Hmmmm, very interesting to watch the noodling tonight. I'm starting to wonder if I made it too tough. But then I think back on what people have said here and close to 90% of what's in the clues has been posted at one time or another. Someone just needs to separate the wheat from the chaff and put it all together, or else figure out that other 10%. Or then again there's tomorrow's clue...
I think every park has probably been mentioned by someone at some point. can't really say if you're hot or cold though as that would detract from figuring out the clues.
Tomorrow's clue might get posted at 7, but probably not. Could get posted as early as 4. Between 4 and 7 my life gets pretty hectic so it's hard to say exactly how and when I'll get the clue posted. I should know better tomorrow.
You're the one that mentioned it! I just thought I'd share my preference. Do what you think best...but it would be good to know the time before noon tomorrow.
true, I just mean that I would only post it as early as 4 if it seemed that would be my only choice. But if it looks that way I'll try to announce it as soon as possible.
We'll have to see if people still say that once they've seen the explanations, but I'm not too worried. 7 more hours and it will have lasted longer than the Medallion Hunt. I am a bit surprised though that people haven't developed pet parks more than they have.
My favorites are Mounds, Battle Creek, Marydale and though I like Conway in a lot of ways, I don't know that I consider that bumpy except for the hill on the east end.
I am, however, avoiding Como for two reasons. I don't see the clues fitting there any better than they fit elsewhere - and I really don't want it to be there!
I guess I haven't noticed that the past couple of years. We've spent way more time north than we have here on weekends so we haven't done the Como Park thing as often.
Oh well, seems everyone else has gone off for the night so I guess we'll see what tomorrow brings. Maybe you'll have some inspiration hit yet tonight. Otherwise I think I'm going to head off to bed. Going to be a busy day tomorrow.
Clue No. 1 - St. Paul Park, off the beaten path could be a walking/biking path in the park or a park that is out of the way and not used much.
Clue No. 2 - U2 tune that will make snese later.
Clue No. 3 - barrows=mounds Comparison of wealth vs. poor could play some role in this hunt.
Clue No. 4 - Light traffic (could be both foot and motorized vehicles) - could mean out of the way smaller park, obvious (plenty) water.
Clue No. 5 - lumpy, bumpy terrain - feels like rolling types of small hills or actual bumpys - not sliding hills. Fir trees in a group fits most parks.
Clue No. 6 I like the Knight-Ridder=PP domain thought - but this clue needs more noodling.
Theres a Fir st. at Taylor Park.

Yeah conway still looks good Marley says.On his list but towards the bottom.

Time for finding answers behind closed eyelids.
Goodnight, SCDs and MCL!
Goodnight terry!

Hmmmm, it's a Friday night and there's no one around? Oh well, must all be out searching, hehe.
Okay...I guess I have it bad. Medallion fever.
Allison - it's good to know that at least some of what we are saying is correct - or at least in the correct direction.
Has the park been mentioned yet?
Do I remember you saying the clue would be posted at 7 tomorrow?
Timing will be important as I plan on hunting out there instead of in here.
Are we hot or cold?!?!?!?
I think every park has probably been mentioned by someone at some point. can't really say if you're hot or cold though as that would detract from figuring out the clues.

Has THE park been mentioned?
Well if you mention them all, then yes, it's probably been mentioned. Although there are actually several that have not been mentioned.
Allison double talk!
I vote for 4pm...that will give us some daylight and a chance to grab some dinner while grabbing the next clue.
The only problem is not everyone may be expecting it that early so it could prove a bit unfair.
You're the one that mentioned it! I just thought I'd share my preference. Do what you think best...but it would be good to know the time before noon tomorrow.

Thank you.
You've done a nice job with these clues.
We'll have to see if people still say that once they've seen the explanations, but I'm not too worried. 7 more hours and it will have lasted longer than the Medallion Hunt. I am a bit surprised though that people haven't developed pet parks more than they have.
I think a few have. I have a few favorites depending on how I interpret the clues.
I have eliminated some though so that helps too.
Doesn't seem to be any one agreed upon interpretation for most of the clues either which is maybe the thing that's keeping everyone uncertain.
What have you eliminated? A bunch it wasn't likely to be at anyway, or anything major?
I've eliminated Phalen.
I've also eliminated some smaller ones.
My favorites are Mounds, Battle Creek, Marydale and though I like Conway in a lot of ways, I don't know that I consider that bumpy except for the hill on the east end.
You eliminated Phalen because it doesn't fit the clues or just because you hate it so much? hehe
One of the hardest clues was the 2nd one. Trying to figure out which tune and what each might mean.
I don't think it fits the clues.
Of course if I'm reading them all wrong, that would make my favorites and eliminateds wrong.
Sometimes the clues are meant to lead you to the park. Other times they're only good for helping you realize you've arrived.
Hmmmmmm....
That's how I'm reading clue #2. There's no way to know which is correct until it fits neatly like a jigsaw puzzle piece.
Which is something you might expect from a Clue #2.
I am, however, avoiding Como for two reasons. I don't see the clues fitting there any better than they fit elsewhere - and I really don't want it to be there!
The light traffic also can eliminate some parks depending on one's interpretation or perspective of what light traffic is meant to be.
Well, I think you could actually get the frog pond to fit most of the clues.
Plenty of water - unless you think of water towers also eliminates some parks.
A muddy bath of a frog pond, right?
Sort of how one interpretation of what constitutes "woods" might vary?
Exactly. Merriam does not contain "woods". It contains some trees.
Actually, come to think of it, I don't think they put water in the frog pond anymore.
I should try to do that sleep thing again. I need energy for tomorrow's hunting.
Goodnight Allison! SCDs!
I think I'll just hang here for a few minutes and see if Artemis has had any brainstorms.
Didn't realize she was even on. Have to watch out for those brainstorms though. Sometimes you never know where those winds will blow you.

Maybe throwing that all down in writing in one place will help put this mind to rest so I can get some sleep!
Looks like Artemis has left and noodling clues with the clue writer doesn't help one iota!
Goodnight, SCDs and MCL! See yaz all in the parks tomorrow!

Hi CM!
Sorry I missed ya Ter, I was dallying on another board. I haven't come up with anything new anyways.
I thought that was a great conversation with the clue writer! Although he didn't say much, he did say more than usual!
