Noodle the clues here if you wish

Artemis The Huntress

Someone just needs to separate the wheat from the chaff

I got it! It's at the Farm in the muddy pig pen between the grain silo and the big red barn!

Mornin' Marley

I like Marydale or Battle Creek right now.

I've been looking back at AW's past hunts and he usually give quite a bit away in the first two clues. I just can't seem to find that in this years clues.

I picked Marydale before the hunt started thats why its hard for me to sell that park to myself but I still like it. Alot of the clues fit there depending how you noodle them.I still have many parks on my list for many different noodles.Hopefully I can do some house cleaning(on the clues) and pick one park by this afternoon. So Artemis and I can go digging!Instead of looking!

Parks still on the top of my list:

Marydale, Indian Mounds, Battle Creek, COMO, Lewis, Taylor, Mounds, Cherokee, Highland, Phalen and a few more.

OH yeah top on my list is VALLEY REC!!!hehe

I like the area of Battle Creek down by Highway 61. If that is not off the beaten path, I don't know what is.

I can't get the "group of fir trees" out of my head. Here's what I think on that one.
"taking as your guide" = Point
"a group of fir trees" = Douglas (a type of fir tree)

Now, how do I get the other clues to fit my theory?

FYI, The Mock Hunt Coin has not been found yet. Me2 just called me to check. Since she's going to be out searching all day and won't be online to read these messages, she pointed out she didn't have anyway to know if it had been found or not already. Which then reminded me that was true for most other people as well. So I guess I should give people a way to contact me if they want to check to see if it's been found yet. You can call me at 651-276-5230.

Oh, and regarding tonight's clue, I think I will be posting it around 6pm tonight. I should be back from the airport by then, and then I should have a little time before I need to take off again, so 6pm tonight, give or take a few minutes.

Hi, I finally made it in to see what all was going on. Nice clues David, you should be doing the PP one also. before this hunt even started I was thinking Battle Creek, for no reason, I just like it, and one night i was driving by there on my way home and saw a peculiar vehicle parked at the entrance. Spotter Allison maybe? But after #3 it really has me thinking mounds. But yesterdays clue makes no sense to me yet, (I just got it) So far it seems pretty worthless, just like mom does!

There are no worthless clues. They all tell you something, if only you can figure out what.

Have you gone through some of the previous messages to see what other people thought? Maybe one of them mentioned an idea you may like.

Good luck. Maybe not seeing anyone is a sign you're onto something they are not?

have not even given Harriet consideration since the PP said it was off limits but AW said it was fair game however I don't think he would put it there just to respect the PP rules.

Hi Chris! Sure we could get together tonight. We're going out in a little bit, before the sun goes down, then coming home for the clue, and going back out tonight. We don't know exactly where we're going yet, but we're going!

You know you're a treasure hunter when you check a pair of underwear hanging from a tree.....

Sat, 02/23/2002 - 6:35 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

Are you sure it wasn't a tree-shaped chandelier?

ThoseMedallingKids

No. and they were too small for Ares. Unless there is a mini-Ares we don't know about.

didn't your mothers ever teach you its not polite to talk about people behind their backs?

Sat, 02/23/2002 - 7:50 AM Permalink
ThoseMedallingKids

Yeah, a small pair of tighty-whiteys hanging from a tree. Some places somewhat fit, but not totally sold on it.

Waiting for the clue here....

Spent most of the afternoon in various sections of Mounds. Found lots of stuff - but no medallion.

Early afternoon we did a drive around at Marydale. We also did a quick trip around Conway and Battle Creek.

I'm ready to say I believe it's at Mounds.

Of course this next clue could throw a big monkey wrench into that.

So the question is...

If one is going to obey doggie doo doo laws and bag it, why would one then throw the bag, neatly tied up, into the woods?

So what if someone kidnapped the clue writer?

We would never know where the thing is hidden!

that'd be tragic!

To say nothing of how we'd miss the clue writer!

I expected more folks lurking for the clue.

We saw a spotter today at Mounds!!! Just sitting in the car, watching and waiting and watching and waiting.

I wanted to make a spotter snowman today. Couldn't bring myself to put in the time or effort though.

You would be hard pressed to find enough snow! Most of any snow we found was just gooshy wet slop.
