I also try to hide this other hunt, my wife doesn't know about the hunt, but I think she is getting suspicious I am having an affair with a woman named Allison

It's funny how quiet it gets here toward the end of the hunt. RC said it's kind of like Ralph Wolf and Sam Sheepdog. We're all friends until the hunting gets thick, and then it's everybody for themselves. And after the hunt, all friends again.
some of us are still friends though even in the thick of the hunt. you can tell those groups of friends by their ability to pool their cell minutes and use each others :)
If I were to get a spy, it would be someone who wasn't a hunter. The spy wouldn't be able to hunt and wouldn't want to put the pressure on anyone to not reveal the hiding place to others.
I know Ares, it's just that the formerly free exchange of ideas suddenly dries up, and people get very clique-y and secretive. Possessive of their theories.
I think there's both competition and cooperation/socialization , which makes it more fun. There are things that people keep to themselves(in the spirit of competition), but most of it is out on board. Its just at the point where there's less need to talk about it and more need to get out and look. There's alot more talking going on in the park at this point.
To be honest, I don't think something like this is anything we can do with much frequency. This one kind of rides the coattails of the hunt fever inspired by the Medallion Hunt. Though if the Medallion Hunt had gone 11 or 12 clues, I suspect people wouldn't be so eager to do this one. I think this year the Mock Hunt is benefitting from the fact that so many people got to do little to no hunting last month. Otherwise I think you'd have to wait until summer at least to do anything other than a one day hunt.
And I wasn't saying that the socialization/isolation thing is a bad thing, it's natural. It's just interesting to watch the dynamic at work. I'm just as guilty as anybody else.

I have one staff out sick and the other one probably leaving sick here soon. No getting out early here for me today.
If I get out of here in the daylight, I'll probably swing by Phalen and look for all you lucky hunters doing what we like best.
